Our fairly new and expensive furnace was not working. Called original installers and they couldn't come for a week. Called Columbus Comfort and they were out next day. Doug,the tech,could not have been any nicer. Discovered a very simple minor problem and quickly resolved.Was very impressed will be using them for future hvac needs. Thanks Doug . If I could give ZERO stars I would! We were sent this company by our home warranty policy and it was an absolute NIGHTMARE! Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT use this company unless you want to spend thousands of dollars to repair their mistakes!
Our AC wasn’t completely cooling our house and when they originally gave us a quoted date that they could come check it out, it was over a week from when we called in the claim to our warranty company. Well, they unexpectedly had a cancellation or extra time the next day (now I know why) and were able to come check out our system. Needless to say, the technician Doug was very inexperienced and ended up letting ALL of the Freon out of our system. He didn’t mention this at all and I came to find it when I walked into our basement after he had already left. I called the Office Manager Shaun and he stated “ it was already like that.” This could not be far enough from the truth as there was a foggy haze in the basement that wasn’t there before. His advice was to “just open the windows.”
They didn’t ever really tell us what was wrong, didn’t send photos of a write up or what was completed/diagnosed (as promised) but did however want us to either replace the AC coil or the whole system and were quick to send quotes on those and of course they weren’t covered by the home warranty company. The technician stepped outside multiple times to talk to his Office Manager which seemed very SHADY. I’m guessing he shared with him the mistakes he made or wasn’t completely honest with what was done or needed.
Needless to say, they left us without an operating system in the HOT days of summer and wanted us to replace the whole system but expected us to wait an entire week before they could do the job!
We ended up using another company that was actually honest and reliable and gave us a full diagnosis of the system. Like I said before, save yourself the trouble and DO NOT use this company!
RESPONSE: Thanks Tim for your response comment. Unfortunately the information your employees shared with you is not what was shared with us. What was shared with us is that our system had TOO MUCH Freon and some needed to be released as it was “over-pressurized.”
We did receive the quote for a new coil and reviewed it quickly. After seeing how expensive it is to replace just the coil we did ask for a quote to replace the whole system as logically it makes sense to spend a few extra thousand to have a whole new system in the event that something additional would go wrong after just the coil was replaced and spending a few thousand on just the coil. We received only 2 quotes from your company and did schedule to have your company to do the install as it was in the hottest days of summer as we were desperate.
Thanks for the admittance of your “incompetent” (as you stated) employees’ mistakes as this was NEVER shared with us and was discovered by the second opinion we received. Also, the second opinion we received did say the coil was repairable.
In addition, Shane did not leave ANY follow up voicemails. You haven’t heard from us until now as we want others to be aware of what could happen when doing business with your company. Hopefully this review is only helpful in providing insight that you do have some dishonest individuals that work for you and I would hope you’d make a positive change with your company for honesty and trustworthiness for your future customers.
First time customer and very pleased with the service! Arrived right on time and called before to check arrival time. My service provider was very professional and even wore shoe covers when in my house (something I love since I work hard to keep everything clean inside my condo!). He was very honest with options to fix my cooling system and was very clean and thorough. Prices seemed a little steep but would definitely pay for the excellent service again.
You could not do better welcoming Columbus comfort heating and cooling to address your HVAC needs. I’ve used a number of different companies in the past but once I found Tim and his group, I’ll continue to use for all of my needs. Pricing is extremely competitive and everyone is personable and professional in all they do.

Columbus Comfort replaced my 20 year old furnace and AC yesterday and they were awesome. Their pricing was very fair and reasonable and their installers were great to work with. I definitely recommend them.
These guys were amazing from start to finish. We loved them so much we had them back out to install the piping for the new furnace they installed when we replaced both our AC/Furnace earlier this summer. They communicate well and are wonderful people. Thank you!
Columbus Comfort H&C checked out our York A/C unit that failed in the 90 degree heat and humidity of end of June, their team was very quick to the rescue. They replaced defective unit, very polite, pay attention to detail. Very respectful to my family and patient with our inquisitive pets...great job, highly recommend them as your one stop shop!
Tim always take care of us. Atlas Butler stopped responding for warranty work on one of my jobs, so I called Columbus Comfort to help. Even though it wasn't their problem, they still came out and fixed the problem. Columbus Comfort is my first call when the s**t hits the air handler.
These guys went above and beyond for my family when my hot water tank went out just before Christmas. Not only were they able to come out that day and assess what was going on, the tech that was sent out was honest and very nice. Whoever previously installed our system (previous owners) used a tank that was too big, and they had to think WAY outside the box on how to even get our old tank out and a new one in without destroying our furnace and even our walls. They searched all over for a tank that would fit and who sold it. I cannot sing their praises enough!!
