Had good experience with my first hvac unit so decided to use them again. They installed a new furnace and hvac unit. Took a shortcut connecting the gas line which resulted in a gas leak. Very poor response when I called them about it. Said they will “look into sending someone” and that they will “call me back” which they never did. Had to get the fire department and the gas company come in to make my house safe. Put my whole family in jeopardy. Never using them again. Pure negligence and complete disregard to safety.

We have been Columbus Worthington Air customers for decades, and I have even posted a positive review regarding their service technician in the past. However, our latest experience with Columbus Worthington Air has not been a trustworthy experience. During our fall maintenance service, the technician performed a "Mandatory Heat Exchanger Inspection" and told us there was a crack in the heat exchanger. He then told us that by Ohio law he had to turn the unit off for safety concerns. That was followed up the next day with a salesman giving us a quote for nearly $13,000 for a new heating and AC units. The salesman told both my wife and me that if a crack was not found in the unit once it was removed that they would cover the cost for the entire new system. The install team came in a few days later and did a wonderful job of installing our new heating unit. Based on what we had been told by the salesperson about seeing the crack, my wife asked to see the crack, but the installer said he could not show it to her. She asked again, but again was told he couldn't show it to her. This raised huge concerns for us and our trust in Columbus Worthington Air. We raised these concerns with the General Manager, M.D., and he said the company's reputation is based on trust. He also inferred we could negotiate some compensation for the way it was handled; however, he never contacted us again after the install was completed and the bill was paid. Trust would have been confirmed for us in the company had they simply showed us the crack in the unit. As it is now, we don't know if we were taken advantage of, but we do know that what was said and what was done is not a positive reflection of a company whose motto deals with trust. My advice for anyone in a similar situation is to get a second opinion from one of their competitors just to confirm a diagnosis so you can trust what they are saying is true.

Kevin, the technician was courteous, helpful and very knowledgeable(and on time). Fixed our issue without having to replace entire unit. Thx!

$200 per hour labor cost?? $2k estimate on a $6k unit bought 5 years ago?? So a poor quality unit with exorbitant labor cost. Haven’t agreed yet. Need help understanding what is going on here.

I appreciate how quick CWA was at both coming out to assess the issue, and in completing the install of a new system. I also appreciate that they had competitive pricing and were able to provide better pricing than the competitor.

They did well everything looked great when they were done and they cleaned everything up. They walked through everything that was done and made sure to go over and talk through any concerns we had so we felt very comfortable with everything. Would definitely refer them

My first experience with CWA was after we experienced an unfortunate electrical fire within our furnace that caused a wake up call to smoke alarms. Luckily, I was able to call CWA and get a technician out the next day to assess the damage and options for remediation of the situation. The technician originally assigned, Millie, was absolutely wonderful and really listened to our concerns. Unfortunately, there was some misunderstanding in the notes from when I talked with the phone representative to get emergency service for the technician. However, the technician was super knowledgeable and they immediately looked at the system and took pictures so a repair estimate could be made and assess further if a new system was needed.

Unfortunately, there was some breakdown of communication afterwards. I received a phone call from a sales representative Monday without hearing more details about why the fire occurred in the first place and whether the existing system was salvageable. I simply didn’t want to just put new equipment in without knowing why the original fire occurred. After raising those concerns with the sales team, they were able to get me over to Curt who really explained why this may have happened and t also the benefits to either repairing or replacing the system. Since the system was reaching the end of its life and we were not under warranty from the previous owners installation, we decided to get an estimate for a new system.

Delonte was a wonderful representative for CWA and very knowledgeable and friendly. I felt in good hands and he really explained what our current set up was and the benefits of CWA’s different levels of systems. We decided to upgrade our system and Delonte was wonderful on making sure we were able to secure financing that night and have our system installed the next day before the temperature dropped again over the weekend.

The technician team, lead by Jacob, was super efficient and respectful since I was working from home. They called me ahead of arriving with a time and made sure to use drapes so my house was not damaged by any equipment needing to be installed properly. They made sure all the systems were working properly and installed the new thermostat. They even walked me through how to use the new thermostat and paired it with my phone as well as the new NEST protect device (smoke alarm and CO detector) before leaving. They made sure all debris was removed as well.

Just over the last 24 hours, we’ve noticed a significant difference in our air quality within the house. We are hoping to also see energy savings in the long run as well. I definitely would recommend CWA to anyone. Even with the miscommunication in the beginning, they were quick to resolve the issue and have an incredible team all around.
