These folks helped with several hvac issues in multiple properties. They’ve replaced several units and have also done a few other non hvac projects for me.
There were times when Harlie helped me fix things myself over the phone.
Recently, Harlie’s crew moved 2 outdoor units from one side of my house to the other due to sound and space considerations near my patio.

Highly recommend Comfort Wizards! Our HVAC broke last year, 1 week before a big snowstorm was expected in Raleigh, and our home warranty company was being unhelpful in getting us the necessary repairs and it turned into a messy situation. Andrea, Harlie & Vern were SO helpful in dealing with the home warranty company and ultimately getting us a new HVAC installed days before the snow hit. Throughout the process, they were empathetic and went above and beyond to get us the help and service we needed. It felt like we were being helped by friends vs. a company - such a nice switch from the home warranty company. We recently had a minor issue with our unit and Harlie quickly came out that evening to repair it, which we really appreciated. Couldn't recommend them more!

I purchased a maintenance service contract from May 23, 2022 - May 23, 2023, with Comfort Wizards in the amount of $189.69. This was billed to my checking account on 5/24/2022. The contract terms state:
"Preventative Maintenance Agreement for one system includes two visits/year where we will clean and inspect the system and verify proper operation. One visit will take place during the cooling season and one during the heating season. You will also receive a discounted diagnostic fee of $99 + tax for any service calls during the year and 15% off of any repairs to your system during the year."
Despite numerous calls (from myself and my husband) and emails, I did NOT receive the 2 preventive maintenance visits during the contract term. After calls and emails offered no responses I asked for a refund on Dec 22, 2002, 9:47 AM which again went unanswered.
Hopefully if anyone from the business reads and responds to these reviews, they will contact me regarding a refund for the unfulfilled contract.

Can I give them negative stars? No? OK, I'll just leave this one-star review. Just read their YELP reviews. There are multiple examples of how this company is crooked. I speak from personal experience dealing with them. They reluctantly showed up 3-5 days late depending on the metric of a weekend request being up to 48hrs after initial request) to a home warranty repair. The 'repairman' showed up at 5:00pm on a Friday night (who I later found out was the manager) not to repair the problem of NO HEAT IN JANUARY 2016, but to try to sell me an upgraded NEST thermostat. Yes, I am still salty after all these years. After explaining I didn't want to buy a thermostat, he spent about 15 minutes in the attic and then returned, explaining that he could not fix it that day. He told me to "Do not let anyone else touch the system" until they returned on Monday. This didn't sit well with me. The hairs on the back of my neck stood straight up. Why would someone else not be able to work on the system? As soon as he left, I spoke to my wife. We agreed something was amiss. I called the warranty company and requested another repair company. When the new company repaired the system, the repairman told me that someone spliced 2 wires together to make sure the system would fail.
NO ONE HAD WORKED ON IT EXCEPT COMFORT WIZARDS.
This company is crooked as a barrel of snakes.

I repeat, READ THEIR YELP REVIEWS. There, they have a 2-star rating and a LOT of 1-star reviews of people they have screwed over the years.

Purchased a central HVAC unit Sept 2021. They surely had the Best prices from any other Carrier dealer in the Triangle area. Customer service is another story...Installation of the unit was very good, but the Techs did NOT know how to install the thermostat. Took a couple of days and 3 different visits for the unit to run due to the thermostat.Verify Prices before paying your bill (could differ from quote). 1 year exactly (today is Sept 13th, 2022) the promised MAINTENANCE does NOT happen. We had been scheduled 4 weeks in a row, and they do NOT show up, we call and we are reschedule to again no show. They do NOT even call. When we request, we are told they do not have enough staff. Just be aware.

Andrea, Harlie, and Vern were fantastic. Andrea helped me over the phone and really made me feel as if I were being helped by a family friend. As we talked through the situation she was able to make a recommendation that fit well with my budget, and had it installed within 3 days of being in touch- seemingly a rare case in todays climate. Raphael and his team were here on time, and were very patient with us as we were tied up with meetings while working from home. I believe all and all they were in and out in about 5 hours for a full installation of a brand new gas-pack. I will be recommending that all of my friends and family go to them when they need any services, repairs, or new units. Thanks again!!

The employees off Comfort Wizards are some of the best people I've had the pleasure of dealing with. When they set you up an appointment, I am sure that that you are notified when the technician will arrive. Then the technician I'll let you know exactly when he will be there. You're always informed they go above and beyond to make sure you are happy and happy with the work they did. Pedro who works for the app is one of the best I have ever seen. I would highly recommend Comfort wizard and all of the employees to everyone. Thank you very much for your professionalism and expertise

My downstairs air conditioner stopped working, so I reached out to several local contractors. Harlie was the first to respond, and he continued to impress me from there. He was thorough in working to make sure we selected the right unit and I especially appreciate his flexibility and willingness to work with me to get the scope and installation just like I wanted it. On top of all that, he had the best price. I am very pleased with my experience with Comfort Wizards and I am planning to work with Harlie again to replace my upstairs unit next spring.

We had a wonderful experience with comfort wizards! Replacing our unit is a bit complicated since the condenser is located on the roof of our 3 story condo. Comfort Wizards was recommended by our neighbors as several had used them in the last few years. The team doing the installation was very polite, on time, and worked very quietly while our baby was napping.
Before deciding to use this company the owner took the time to walk me through the options available so I could make the best decision for us. They handled the product registration, city inspection permit and scheduled the inspection. On top of these service related items, while on site the installation manager even identified an minor issue in our breaker box and told us how we could easily get it fixed. I plan on having them do our annual service and would highly recommend them.
