Of course, we had a problem on the weekend. Dreading a huge service call, we found that Frank was quite reliable and knowledgeable. He arrived quickly and remedied the problem without fuss. Pricing was fair and reasonable. We have used Sheer Comfort before and can recommend them without reservation.

WOW!! The hottest day in 2013 and our air conditioner dies! I called Frank from Sheer Comfort (who I have never met before) and he is out at my house the same day!! It was installed THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY and I couldn't be MORE IMPRESSED! The price for the unit was a great price also!! My dad has always told me, you cant have quality, price and quick service, he said you pick 2, but you cant have all three. Sheer Comfort proved my dad's theory isn't always correct, and I am thankful to Frank and his team for helping us get our A/C working SO QUICKLY! Sheer Comfort Heating and Air installed a new American Standard 13/15 SEER HVAC unit in my home. Frank Sheer and his son Travis arrived precisely on time for the 2 preliminary visits as well as the big day of installation. Frank did a load estimate for the floor space, windows, insulation etc which the other 2 companies I called neglected to do. He answered all my questions (and I had a lot of them) patiently and with an impressive amount of expertise. He was patient and thorough even when I veered into off topic subjects like water filtration, hot water heaters, and dehumidifyers!
His son Travis was an excellent instructer in the art of the programmable thermostat which they had installed for me.
Assistant Jamie was great, too and patient with my 4 animals crowding around. All in all, a great team. Next week they will be servicing my old upstairs split system and upgrading a few things that I did not know were available like a new float switch for the old unit. .
'They also installed a system for my friend last month and he couldn't say enough positive stuff about the work ethic of this company.
Oh, and they left the work site cleaner and tidier than it was when they started. The entire installation was completed in a matter of 4 or 5 hours. I am not a relative or associated in any way with this company other than to be happy to have found them as I have rental properties that have not been properly serviced for years and now feel a lot more confident about this prospect.

Our 18 month old builder installed heat pump was acting up with the warmer weather. The AC was working fine and then it just stopped cooling. We gave up on the builder's contractor for a number of reasons. Our local Asheville Realtor suggested Sheer Comfort and their tech Carl. Carl responded to a weekend call in May, 2019. He was planning to come out on a Sunday morning. I got home from work & reset/rebooted everything (thermostats and heat pump). Waited a few minutes & it started back up. Texted Carl that for now it's working & to forget coming Sunday. Fast forward a couple of weeks now June, 2019. Same thing, AC working one moment and it stops and won't come back on. With family coming soon for a 3 night visit, my wife called Sheer Comfort and they squeezed us into Carl's schedule today (6-7-19). Carl called on his way here. Upon his arrival I gave him the history, events & symptoms. We adjusted thermostats, he went to the basement & opened up the system and read the manual. In less than 2 minutes he showed me how the builder's contractor had improperly wired the Zone Board and that the system should have been installed with a supplemental 24V transformer to fully power the system, the dampers, and the communications between interior unit and the outside unit. Carl went to the truck, returned with a new transformer and wiring. He pulled all the wires on the Zone Board, stripped new wire, reconnected them & installed the new transformer and restarted the system. In a little less than an hour he was on his way to the next customer and my bill was a reasonable $125 + tax. Carl is clean, professional, communicative and friendly. I told him how happy we are that our Realtor put us in touch with Sheer Comfort and Carl.

Frank and the team handled our project with reliability and professionalism. They did the work for the price that promised and delivered accordingly.
