    I’ve had really good experiences with various different jobs. The one time I needed them to come back (be sure to read LOTS of reviews before you buy a Samsung refrigerator) they stuck with it until it was fixed for good. They’re friendly, knowledgeable, and very professional.

    Luis actually arrived 10 minutes before the scheduled 2 hour time period, which I took as getting off on the right foot. He quickly determined the problem with the burner on the stove and was able to find the appropriate part on the truck. He located the correct breaker to turn off the power, replaced the part with confidence and turned the breaker back on. He checked the work he had done, made sure all the other burners still worked and reset the clock on the stove. A very pleasant guy and good worker. I would recommend.

    I'm delighted to recommend the Bud Matthews company. My GE dryer which is about 15 years old was making a very loud noise and I seemed to be stripping the "start" dial. However, it was still drying well. A plumber happened to be working in my kitchen when I bemoaned the fact that I could not find an appliance repair company who will service GE
    products. He, thankfully, suggested Bud Matthews Services.

    The young man who serviced my dryer was both cordial and professional. He did find a few things which needed to be lubricated and installed a temporary knob on my starter. Having relocated, I no longer could find my owner's manual or the Model number for the machine. My lint filter had become clogged in a few spots so I asked if he could order a new one for me. Because of the numbers on the filter, he was able to determine which machines used the parts and was able to order them.

    Also, the company called me this morning and allowed me to make the decision regarding purchasing the parts. I ordered the lint filter, which he agreed could be mailed, and I decided the knob would serve my needs.

    This is a company you can count on for honesty and integrity.

    We had a double oven installed by Paul Clark from Bud Matthews Services. The service was excellent! Paul is a "pro" at his job. He was personable and efficient. He told us about all the services the company does. Because we were pleased with the price and the work done for this job we will not hesitate to call Bud Matthews for other service needs in the future and we will recommend this company to our friends.

    Big renovation in an old house (1960) is never fun, but we were in good hands with Bud Matthews. From the design stage - where Noah took immense interest and came up with lots of helpful ideas - through demolition and reconstruction - swinging with the punches as the unexpected inevitably appeared, and coming up with creative solutions when needed - the process was as stress free as we could have hoped.
    The Matthews team is highly skilled and great communicators. They went out of their way to clean up every day and were always courteous and professional.
    We are thrilled with the result, not only does our new kitchen look great but also we know the project was done to the highest standard. And it came in slightly under the agreed budget.
    We enthusiastically recommend BMS.

    Bud Matthews renovated our kitchen this summer. When we met with Noah, we knew he was the contractor we wanted. He was very responsive and helpful throughout the process, including working through several hurdles (bound to come up in a renovation). Workers were courteous and showed skill and care in their work. Recommended.

    I contacted Bud Matthews for HVAC service and my experience did not meet my expectations. Here are the details of the many issues I had and you can decide for yourself:
    1) They performed a $300 repair without checking with me beforehand.
    2) The $300 repair was for replacing a simple programmable thermostat which seems very expensive.
    3) They do not credit the $100 diagnosis fee towards repairs performed so my thermostat replacement cost me $400.
    4) Replacing the thermostat did not fix the problem so then they diagnosed a bad blower motor. While it is certainly possible both things failed at the same time (thermostat and blower motor) it does raise questions.
    5) They wanted $800 to replace the blower motor but did not check or ask me to check if it might be under warranty. It was under warranty and all you have to do is call in the model#/serial# to the manufacturer to confirm this.
    6) When I told them the blower motor was under warranty they said they would check into it and get back to me. Two days later I had not heard from them so I had another company order the free replacement blower motor and install it for about 30% of what Bud Matthews was ready to charge me.
    7) To give credit where credit is due (thus the 2-star rating) replacing the blower motor did fix the issue.
