The sales person showed up on time, was polite and professional. I was then given a quote of over $4300 to replace my hot water heater that was leaking and producing yellow/brownish water. I decided to install it myself. The new water heater at Home Depot was $1400. It took me as an amateur just over 4 hours to pick it up and install it. I would guess a professional could have done the job in under 3 hours. I fully understand that a company has extra costs. But almost $3000 in labor for a 3 or 4-hour job is outrageous. Talk about trying to take advantage of someone in need. WOW!

Tim Mackey was my service technician and was the most professional and thorough. He took care of our furnace as if it were his own, he was efficient and was in and out timely.

The boiler stopped due to ice buildup on the intake tube.
The technician is very knowledgeable. Pete explained everything in language I could understand. I learned a lot about the boiler and what to do if it happens again. Highly recommend Halco for service. They also did some electrical installation years ago. First class company!

National Grid has been doing work on my block, at a lackadaisical pace, with intermittent frequency, since April 3rd. Without notice some NG workers required and gained entry to my house. They discovered a problem with an exhaust duct, so they turned the gas off (very suddenly).

I have tenants; the NG workers originally, and knowingly gained access to the house via a tenant without my knowledge, or consent. I was presented with a done deal; while there was a good safety reason to leave the gas shut off, due to the fact that I have tenants, thus must provide heat and hot water, among other things. So, this became an example of a Catch-22 because of an action taken by my tenant, suddenly the gas was turned off, but due to contractual obligations, I needed quick HVAC service, which I received. The service was also courteous, prompt, and thorough. I would recommend HALCO for these reasons.

Halco installed a sump pump and French drain, a trench from a geo thermal well and the geothermal heat pump and a geo thermal hot water tank in my house. They did an excellent job and I recommend them highly.
