We went down to our basement to find huge pools of water and it looked like our hot water heater had failed. Called Mohawk, told them it looked like our tank had failed and the value leading in was leaking. They sent a service tech out right away to come drain the tank and prevent further flooding. At the same time they scheduled a new tank to be installed the following day. The day of the install, there guys did another inspection of the tank and found that the tank itself was actually in tact and that it was the valve and the piping leading into the hot water heater that had gone bad. Rather than just installing the tank anyway, they showed and explained to us that our problem was only the piping, fixed it quickly and for a fraction of the cost of what the new tank would have been. The installers, Jason and Justin, were fantastic about answering all our questions and explaining everything that was going on. I would recommend Mohawk to anyone! All of there staff was professional and courteous. Special thanks to Jason, Justin, David and Nikki for your excellent service!

We had a terrible experience with Mohawk. Our compressor broke, so we called them. They sent someone out right away who diagnosed the problem. The next day, they told us that they would come and fix it. Instead of doing that, they sent out two more people to give a second assessment of the problem, which was odd because that means that they don't trust their own employees. We then had to wait a week for the part to come in, even though they originally told us they had the part. Then they came and put in the part but found another issue and still decided to charge us for the broken air conditioner. By the way, two weeks before this whole incident, they had come for a maintenance check and somehow missed all of this. We ended up having to order a whole new unit. In all, we were without air conditioning for a month due to their negligence. My family has been with Mohawk for years, and the customer service that we received was unforgivable. The manager, Dustin, was not truthful and completely unprofessional on the phone. The only saving grace the company has is Nick, who was helpful and professional despite the company he works for and his higher-ups. Needless to say, we will not be returning to Mohawk.

Larry C arrived on time for a cleaning of our oil fired boiler, was very professional, personable and informative. As a new owner of this property, I was not familiar with an oil fired unit. Larry was fine with me watching him inspect and clean the unit, he explained as he went the purpose of each component. (The office/phone staff was also excellent in accommodating us, they honored the service agreement of the prior owner after it had expired, which speaks volumes for this business. Plus, they called when Larry was on the way.) Overall, it was an excellent experience in all aspects!

Larry came to clean our furnace and my husband and I couldn't have been any more pleased. He introduced himself, he promptly removed his shoes, something I have not seen done in a long time by any maintenance person. He took the time to answer all our questions. Referred to Mohawk Heating by my oil distributor on 7/5/19. The fill whistle wasn’t working on our oil pipe. My appointment was set for 10-2pm but the technician arrived at 3:30pm. No courtesy call to alert us of delay. Tim spent 5 minutes glancing at the pipes and said, ‘they all need to come out as it’s old piping. It’ll run $610.26.’ He left after charging $118.00 for a service call. Got a second opinion from company #2. Len, the prompt technician identified the problem ASAP - a wasp’s nest blocking the the pipe. He blew it out w CO2 and instant whistle! The charge was $50.00 plus $75.00 for the service call. I sought $118.00 reimbursement from Mohawk who requested I email them proof of invoice from company #2. They never called me back. I just spoke to Heather who said the fee stands. I am amazed at Mohawk’s poor customer service and unconscionable business ethic. I read other reviews on-line and I see Joel R. had an identical experience. Owner Kris may be third generation in the family business but I’ll bet his grandfather would be rolling in his grave if he knew how his business is being run. Simply unethical. As my father used to say, “Jesse James had a gun.” I notified the BBB. Buyer Beware!
