My wife and I have been renovating and restoring our 1887 Brownstone in the Park Slope historic district since 1973. Iceberg Mechanical is by far the best contractor we have used over all these years. Their work is meticulous and the craftsmanship is excellent. We had the company install a Mitsubishi split A/C system on all four floors of the house. I can't believe how clean the crew worked! Paul (the owner) said that he and his crew would treat our home as though it is their own and they really did. The repair and finish work was excellent. Looking at the walls today, you would never know that major construction had been done. They even had the air handlers for each room painted the same color as the walls. I cannot say enough good things about this company. I will certainly use them in the future to maintain my system. If you are looking for an A/C company to do top quality work, you can't go wrong with Iceberg Mechanical.

The guys from Iceberg Mechanical did a great job of rerouting our 4 split unit A/C condensation lines across our entire apartment so that they drained properly on our deck. They were strategic and neat when cutting open the drywall and installing new PVC lines. They were on time and totally professional. We then used them to service the units themselves. Paul gave us an estimate ahead of time, and stuck to it.

All the guys who came were really professional and nice and handled the job beautifully. We had a whole system installed and it went completely smoothly. At the end, the best plasterer in the city came and made everything look perfect. Highly recommend.

We are really enjoying our new Mitsubishi split level system. It's much more comfortable than wall units and will also save us money. The owner at Iceberg was very helpful at every step of the process. The electricians were knowledgeable, efficient, and patient. Everything was done according to plan. We are very pleased. Iceberg has done two split unit installations for our house in Brooklyn. The first four years ago, the second just last week. Both were very good experiences.

For last week's project, Iceberg (Paul Hamel) had a much better idea for where to locate the heat pump and the inverter.

The install crews were great; very conscientious, cleaned up and restored things when they were done.

The split units are terrific - particularly for places like our 100+ year old Brooklyn brownstone. And remember, they provide heat as well as AC. We use it for both equally

If you are looking for reliable, trustworthy, courteous, efficient, quality work - then look no further. We were having issues with our central air and contacted Iceberg Mechanical. Paul (the owner) came to our rescue! He reduced the size of the duct work throughout the whole house and now our central air works great and runs more efficiently. We have a two bedroom coop in Manhattan and cannot recommend Iceberg enough. They made every step of the process pleasant, from recommending head locations (split ductless) to working with the board and the city.

The system works perfectly, was installed by skilled and friendly technicians, and they even did patch work and waste carting. Will recommend them to friends and family in the future.

We recently had a mini split air conditioning system installed in our Brooklyn coop apt. After a lot of research, and inquiries about the different manufacturers, models, spec’s and requirements, we decided to go with a Mitsubishi. Our next step was choosing a contractor / installer.

When I was asking different people about their units, and experiences with them one comment that stayed with me was “ I’m happy with the unit, but not the installers and I wouldn’t recommend them” After having four different installers come by, ( two of which we had come by twice ) we reluctantly decided to go with Iceberg Mechanical, Inc., a Diamond contractor for Mitsubishi.
Diamond contractors are licensed installers who are manufacture train in the installation and service / repair of the product and can also offer an extended warranty and It also means they can get manufacture parts if needed. LET ME BE CLEAR, Iceberg Mechanical WAS NOT the least expensive contractor of the bunch, yet the age old adage rings true “ You get what you pay for”.
I have been someone that has repaired specialized life support equipment for a living and recognize the important of getting the right part when needed. I also believe it’s the people or person that does the work or service and not always the product or the person that collects the money.

When Paul and his team of installers, Nelson and Isaiah, showed up on site to evaluate the installation I started feeling better about it all, BUT when Isaiah and Nelson started the work, I knew I had chosen the right installers. As someone that has works with his hands and tools to made a living, you can tell when someone know what they are doing or not. We live in a 100-year-old plus building and there is always a challenge when doing work in it. Isaiah and Nelson showed great problem-solving skills anytime there was a new challenge and we had a few. Their work exceeded my expectations. As of this writing I can say I am very pleased with the Iceberg Mechanical team. Paul, Isaiah, Nelson and Linda have been a pleasure and charm to work with.

Paul and his crew installed a split AC system in our house during the hottest week of the summer. They were professional, hard working and completed the task in the time frame we discussed. The units work really well and we are very happy!

I hired iceberg mechanical to replace my old central ac system. The air handler was located in the attic which was no easy task due to the small access panel.
