We had a heating Emergency and Maine Care sent us a man named Mike. HE fixed the problem but the the next morning the old furnace started turning on and off. This man named Mike was ABSOLUTELY amazing. Smart, he is still here, but discovered it was an electrical wire, connection. Mike is friendly, & kind and super intelligent. I hope he is ALWAYS our technician, he is an outstanding trouble shooter. Main Care seems to hire the best of the best. Every single emergency, they ALWAYS send out a technician in extremely timely manner. I would recommend Main Care and MIKE every day of the year for any problems! Amazing young man! Thank you!
One of the only companies this season to have a price cap or I wouldn't have gone with them. Service is expensive and communication is bad. I was told that budget payments are due by "the end of the month" only to get "collection" calls before the end of the month. So now they tell me that the 20th is the end of the month and that's what they meant (lol) I do like that it can be paid through an app and I can view all my invoices there also which I was shown after . So a couple good and a couple bad and that's why I give them a 3. Fix your communication and it would have been at an least a 4!
Today, Sunday, I had to place an emergency call to Main-Care for my furnace. I had placed a couple calls previously for this same problem, but unfortunately it hadn’t been fixed. My technician today was Will C. He showed up and listened to my story and helped me! He got me up and running like normal. He was very professional and kind. I can’t thank him enough for taking such good care of me on a very cold winters day. Thanks so much Will!!
The heat wasn't working in my tenants apartment. I called first thing on a Sunday morning and they arrived within an hour. Randy H fixed the issue right away. He was very friendly and helpful.
After posting my initial review I received a follow-up call and email from Main Care's Customer Communications Manager, Laurie G. Fumarola, who was very professional and determined to reach an amicable solution to my situation and ensure I receive the heating service I needed. She followed up with her technician to fix my heating situation and to perform an inspection of my heating unit. The technician informed us that the boiler can continue under the Gold Card Service Plan. In his opinion the unit is operating and should continue to do so for next couple years. Main Care then reversed any prior charges for the service call and reinstated my Gold Service Contract. Mrs. Fumarola greatly apologize for any misunderstanding and a misdiagnosis from previous technician, which I accepted and am happy to say they have retained me as a customer. I hope this type of service continues for years to come and if so, I will continue to be a loyal customer.
Original Review: 11/20/2021 I've been a customer for over 16 years with Main Care when I first build my home and installed my furnace. During that time, I have always paid for their annual service contract which entitled me to service and repairs to my heating system and propane gas system. This year, however, they canceled my service without notifying me directly. Apparently, they said they sent a letter to my address stating they would not renew it. We have never communicated via mail before, hence I did not receive the letter. I did speak to someone on the phone when they were going to visit my home for service, they brought the renewal to my attention, and they said all was fine. Apparently, all was not fine, and the service agreement was canceled. The reason for the cancelation was my boiler was no longer in good shape. They have been the only ones to service my boiler for the past 16 years since it was new. Last year, when a technician, said I should consider replacing it, I agreed and request a proposal for them to do the work. The proposal never came; hence the work was never done. Their management and tracking system Failed. However, they did continue to collect my money for my service contract throughout the year until the expiration. Now one of my heating zones will not work and they want to charge me over $200+ for a one hour minimum. Who knows how much it would cost if it takes them a couple of hours to repair? This is absurd. Years ago, they had good customer service, but I believe they since changed their management and now their customer service is non-existing. The service technicians are always decent and do their best to service my home, although sometimes they arrive late, I would overlook it since I was a loyal customer. However, I can no longer do this anymore since their current management and customer service is terrible and have let me down too many times. They have disregarded the years of having a loyal customer and are simply focusing to capitalize financially. It was unfortunate, but I am forced to cancel my account due to how quickly they were determined NOT to reach an amicable solution. Do yourselves a favor and DO NOT enter into a contract with Main Care Energy. They will ultimately let you down when you begin to depend on them and need them the most.
This is my second review and again I have to say that the Main-Care team is the Best in Albany N.Y. We had issues with heat on 1/16/22 -Sunday, called at 7:00am and we had service at the house by 8:15am. The Tech was Dave, he listen to what I had to say was the issues and solved all of them. He had to replace a few items but had everything he needed with him. It was very cold that day, so Thankyou to Dave and the Main-Care team.
Within 2 hours of the furnace failing to start up I called Main Care, scheduled a tech visit and had everything back working, all on a Friday night in an ice storm. Will Clark, the tech, couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. An excellent experience.

Our delivery driver, Bryan H, was very accommodating when we were out of fuel and got us up and running! So we now have heat again!

We had Jim H. out today to service our furnace after it stopped working and he did an excellent job. He was quick and very friendly. Thank you Jim!
