We are very happy with Williams Mechanical. We wanted to replace the 14 year old water heater in our house before it totally failed. I have traveled and lived abroad and basically have never seen a "tank" water heater anywhere except for the USA so we were wanting to get a tankless water heater from the beginning. Chris was very knowledgeable and explained what our different options were without feeling like he was pushing for one more than the other and we could decide what was best for our needs/wants/budget. We also had a dryer vent installed. Between both jobs we had 3 different gentlemen come to work, 2 for the tankless water heater and 1 for the dryer vent. They were all very professional and completed the work with a focus on quality. I also had my 1 year old son around watching and probably getting in the way but he really liked seeing all the "action" and they were all very friendly with him. We have now had the water heater almost 6 months and have loved it and have not had any problems. If you are looking into getting a new water heater take a serious look at the tankless systems. What really was the best selling point for getting the 14 year old water heater replaced was this: when they were loading up the old water heater, some "water" spilled out onto my driveway. They were very apologetic and quickly got stuff to clean it up, but I am very happy I got a tiny glimpse of what was in that water heater! The "water" that spilled out had large chunks and slivers of rust, crystallized salts and minerals of different colors and shapes, and some of the water had the consistency of jelly! It was disgusting, but it would be another story to actually cut open the water heater and look inside. I am so happy we were only using that water heater for a couple months here before getting it changed out. When I wash dishes, take a shower/bath, wash my hands, wash clothes, baby toys... I think about how happy I am to not have all of the hot water for me and my family filtered through 14 years of built-up unspeakableness. I have a reverse osmosis filter and a water quality meter. I usually get 7-10 ppm from the reverse osmosis and 180-200 ppm from cold tap water and about 240 ppm from hot water now, but I wish I would have checked the hot water coming from the old water heater because I'm sure it would have been much worse. I'm not sure the ppm needed to give water the consistency of jelly but that would have been interesting to test. The bottom line is we were happy with the quality of work done and although we could have probably found a cheaper contractor or handyman, we wanted the job done right by people we can trust. That is what we got from Williams Mechanical. When there was any problem they resolved it and that old water heater was not an easy job. When we need more work done, we know who to call.

I had an AC problem on a Friday night after work. I called Chris at Williams Mechanical after hours and he told me what needed to be done. I had already taken some of my unit apart and told him of my hunch. He then made suggestions and told me the part I needed. He told me he was travelling on Saturday with family, but would be glad to purchase the part for me. He called me Sat morning as promised and I was able to buy the parts from him, so that I could repair an easy fix on my AC.
This is a company I would refer my family to. Even when he had plans to travel over the weekend, he offered to assist me in any way he could.
If you want AC repairs from someone with integrity, you need to give Chris a call as he will help you, not matter what it takes!

This is our second time using them and they were great. Brett was the one who helped us both times. We had a clogged condensation line. He had to change out our p-traps and did a great job. I totally recommend
Williams Mechanical Heating and Air.

I am a former employee of Williams Mechanical. It was a great place to work. There is a real family atmosphere. The only reason I left was an opportunity in an office setting. To this day I still recommend Williams services to all looking for quality work at a fair price

Great company and reasonable prices. We have had Brett (Service Tech) come and do many preventive services on our HVAC systems. He is always on time. Communicates what is needed in easy terms to understand and follows all of our safety rules at our job site.

Let me tell you a story of "A mid-summer Heat"...

Our A/C chose to go out during the hottest week of the summer of course, why would it not. Shane (technician) was sent to see what the problem may have been. He spent a couple of hours in that same heat to thoroughly trace every wire in the unit outside. It appeared to be the transformer so he contacted the office to get the part ordered ASAP. The office then sent another person out that same evening with a portable unit to help keep our dogs cool since it was going to take a week to get the part in and installed. The following week Shane returned to install the part and all seemed to be well...we have cool air, for all of maybe 20 minutes. The house started to get hot again and when my sister went outside to check, the unit was not working...again. The next morning she contacted the office and they sent Shane back out to discover that one of the relays had been burnt out from the install of the new transformer. Relay was ordered and thankfully arrived the next day since there were no portable units to be given. It was a HOT night!!! The next day relay was installed to discover that the unit STILL would not work. Shane was magnificent in trying EVERYTHING he could possible to solve our "no cooling" issue. When he could not figure it out he made the effort to have someone else come in with a fresh pair of eyes to the problem. Then came Nate...LOL...well of course at this point in the weather, rain and lightening decided to make an appearance. Nate showed up anyway to let us know he was more than willing to wait out the rain/lightening for a bit if we would like...UM ya *smiles*...as we were talking he decided to take a closer look inside the furnace area to see if things were all good there. Low and behold upon closer inspection *flashlight over the shoulder* he discovered a wire that was hanging on by a small thread. He simply stripped it and re-wired it and BOOM...the A/C started working again. So boys and girls the moral of the story is that Williams Mechanical Technicians (Shane & Nate *the cleaner-upper*) are the most AMAZING people ever created in the A/C world. Nothing is cheap in the world of servicing but these guys are worth their weight in gold. I would recommend them to anyone. Their sense of humor is awesome as well.

Thank you guys for being understanding from the office staff to the technicians.

As a real estate investing company, we have been in search of a reliable, honest, knowledgeable & fair-priced mechanical company to fulfill all of our properties' various needs. We knew something was wrong with the forced air unit in one of our invest homes because of the noise it was making. We had another well-known heating/cooling company in ABQ come and "fix" the issue and bring the unit up to code. Their mechanics said they replaced the filter & did what needed to be done to bring it up to code to pass final inspections. They told us the noise was simply because the unit it old and unless we wanted to replace the WHOLE unit (which would've cost appx $2000), the noise is something we'd have to live with. Even after we paid this company for bringing the unit up to code, we decided to get a 2nd opinion & called Williams Mechanical. Nate came over and within an hour of being there, he called to let us know the reason for the noise was a ton of built-up gunk in the unit & simply needed a good cleaning. Nate got it cleaned up, got rid of the noise & the unit's blower is working even better now. We are very pleased with Nate's work and Williams overall. We'll definitely use them for all our other properties & future jobs!

Good experience replacing two furnaces with Williams. They seriously underbid the competition and we have had no complaints so far. Of course, we won't really give the furnaces a workout until cold weather comes, but Trane gets good reviews.

Williams Mechanical is the first place anyone should call. Their array of expertise (cooling, heating, plumbing, and electrical, and still more!) makes it easy to have one company working on different elements of your project in a coherent and whole approach to addressing the issue(s). Moreover, their quality of work, caring for customers, honest assessments, and sincere devotion to taking their time to do the job well really sets them apart from other companies. Call these guys before you call anyone else!

Installation of replacement natural gas furnace that sits outdoors went smoothly with Anthony and Alex on the job. They were efficient, thorough, and neat. I recommend them with no hesitation.
