Carrano Air replaced the compressor in my central A/C that broke in the dead of the summer. They were honest and transparent and helped me pick the best option for myself to get my A/C working again. Would recommend!

Carrano is a great HVAC service company. I have been using them for 20 years. They are technologically superior, provide timely service and honest fair prices.

Terrible service!
While I was able to schedule an appointment for AC service within 24 hours during a holiday weekend and the first hot days of the season, the technicians that came were very unprofessional and obviously did not know what they were doing.
Kareem and his partner (didn't get his name) arrived on time and at the top of the 5 hour window I was given (thankful for that), however, After showing them where my unit was and explaining that the landlord's maintenance guy recently removed the filter and hadn't gotten me a new one, Kareem kept insisting that the unit inside was missing a "cover" and unless we located it or got a new one they couldn't accurately diagnose the issue. While there was a cover that had been removed I kept telling Kareem that there was never a second cover for the unit. Kareem did reinstall the existing cover but neither he or his partner did any additional diagnostic work. They never checked the charge and after they left, my boyfriend and I realized Kareem had put the cover on incorrectly. After my boyfriend put it back on the right way (took all of 10 minutes) I called Kareem to ask if he could come back and check the charge now that the cover was put back on correctly. Kareem was rude and let me know that he put the cover back on as a courtesy to me and that it didn't matter if it was put back on the right way, I was still missing the second cover and there was nothing he could do until we either found it or got a new one.
I called my landlord and got the okay to call another HVAC company. They were able to come out within 2 hours (on a Saturday afternoon of a holiday weekend) and within 10 minutes this technician was able to let me know that the unit I have DOES NOT HAVE A SECOND COVER (yes it does need a filter but that wouldn't impact the ability to cool) and that it was in serious need of a charge (and there were several small leaks due to the fact that the unit had not been installed properly 2 years ago). Within 40 mintues the charging was done and in the 10 minutes it took for him to write up the paperwork/receipt, the temperature dropped degrees. I as write this, just about 2 hours after the work was done, the temperature has dropped about 15 degrees!
It is quite obvious to me that neither Kareem or his partner knew what they were doing, or had any interest in doing the work!
I will definitely NOT be calling your company again for any HVAC work nor will i recommend you to any family or friends.
And I am not sure if my landlords credit card (which had been given prior to the visit) was charged for the service call (since it wasn't my credit card I wasn't advised of any costs or charges) but if he was, I am going to recommend to him that he request a refund since NO diagnostic work was actually done beyond telling me that I was missing a cover that doesn't exist! Highly disappointing experience..(only gave one star because you came out within 24 hours)

Called the company for a slow leak coming from a pipe that connects to a baseboard. Technician came and said he fixed it for approx 250. Approx a month later it was leaking again in the same spot. Called the company and they would'nt admit the job was done inadequately. I gave them a second chance as they said the joint needed to be replaced..They charged me full price and now approx a year later its leaking in the same spot. I would think twice before using this company for any repair work. Prices are high, service is poor.

Ryki was very professional and knowledgeable. He spent the time to explain our options and the benefits associated with each. He also explained why some suggestions we had were not correct or would not work. We are very satisfied with Ryki and the service we received. Jim - Edison, NJ

Steve and his company did a great job and were very professional when teaching me and my family about the installation of one of their new air purifiers. I would recommend this company to anyone and every one.

I needed an emergency repair on my air conditioner - right when the weather heated up. I called Carrano Air Contracting, expecting to have to wait for an appointment. To my surprise they were there the next day, diagnosed the problem and had it fixed.

Now I wouldn't consider going to another HVAC company.

I had an air conditioner installed 10 years ago, over the years I noticed there was a panel missing from the outside unit a small panel one time I noticed a rat was dead was stuck in the unit if that panel was installed with the unit the rat could not have gotten in so I called them up the boss and one of the employees gave a song and dance story saying the unit did not come with the unit after I spent 5,000 for the unit to be installed.
these guys are sleazy I do not recommend them

I purchased an air scrubber a year ago from Carrano. I have to say this was great purchase.My air is cleaner and dust is at a minimum. Great buy and I would recommend the air scrubber and Carrano.
