I'd have to give Don an A++++. Our furnace stopped working and called him the same day that this happened and he arrived promptly. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. I'll be definitely reaching out to him again for our maintenance and any issues that may arise. Thanks again Don!!!!!

11/4/22: Don has been our go-to guy for several projects since my last review, and I still wholeheartedly give 5-stars. Since then, he's done HVAC maintenance, installed an HVAC blue-light sterilizer, and is currently installing a bathroom fan in an additional bathroom, as well as other projects in the same area of the house. Just as my earlier reviews state, Don got back to us pretty quickly, work quality has been great (and neat), and even calls back the next day to make sure everything is still working well. Not to mention, he's a great person to work with. After all these years, I still very highly recommend Don.

1/23/16: I picked up some Roxul fireproof installation and fireplace caulk from Home Depot for Don to put above the flue/damper of the ventless gas fireplace. (The fireplace previously had a chimney as it once was a woodburning fireplace, but the previous homeowner had it removed and a ceiling/roof placed above). This successfully got rid of the draft coming from above. Thanks, Don!

5/24/16: We called Don after noticing a "burning" smell coming from the vents. After he investigated, he had discovered the problem had come from the furnace's board, and replaced it. On top of this, he noticed the capacitor was not at 100%, and threw in a replacement as a part of the service. Thanks, Don! Don had called us the next day to ask if everything was working OK and that we were happy with everything (we were!). Very nice that he had thought of us for a follow-up call. On top of that, Don had surprisingly called afterward to let us know he'd owe us some money back, because he overcharged us by charging tax, when tax was not supposed to be charged when repairing a heater. Right there is exactly what I call honesty!! I was happy with the work, that I certainly didn't mind the extra charge though!

6/27/14: Being very happy with the prior work that Don did last fall, Don was certainly my go-to-guy to repair an attic fan and tune up the A/C. Actually at first, I was thinking of replacing only the attic fan's motor. Don recommended replacing the whole unit since the cost would be about the same anyway...so why not!
Given the messy attic wiring to the fan I had inherited from the previous homeowner, I was impressed with Don's neatening up of those wires as well.
Not his fault, but while he was installing the attic fan, some shingles broke off. (I'm sure this wasn't his fault since those shingles were up there for a quite a while and most likely were stuck to the old fan being replaced). Anyway, Don offered to pick up and not charge for the shingles...he didn't need to, but it shows he is a good honest guy. It was very nice that he called the day after to make sure we were happy with everything (without a doubt, we were)! Not only do I (highly) recommend Don, I can assure you he is a good guy who stands by his work. He's very personable, does a good, neat job, and I noticed he doesn't take shortcuts...he makes sure he does it right. We will certainly be calling him back for something we have planned at another location in the near future as well.

Don couldn't if been more accommodating and professional. After having a different company come and take a look at my AC Unit, I was told the repair would be over $1500. I called Don for an estimate to have what the other company said needed to be replaced fixed. He took a look at the unit and told me nothing was wrong with it. Don could of just gave me an estimate on the repair I asked for and took my money but instead he explained that the repair was not needed. He then went on to explain in detail why the unit wasn't working as well as it could be and also gave me advice on how to maximize the output. Would highly recommend to anyone in need of an AC professional. Thank you Don!!

Don is the real deal. Not only will he go out of his way to help ensure you get the most bang for your buck, he is also passionate about this trade. I was recommended to him by a close friend and it was the best decision made to have him come and do a full new install. I had an issue that a plumber was unable to fix due to a duct being in the way. Don was called in to fix the duct issue. He gave me a very realistic time frame and met it. From the moment he walked into the house to the moment he left, he was nothing but professional. Everything he did he explained in detail, stopped to answer any questions, and was amazing with the rest of the family members. He treated everyone with kindness and as if he had known them for multiple years. I would absolutely recommend him for any heating or cooling issues.

My sister highly recommended Don. She told me he is honest and reliable. When I recently had an issue with the AC I called Don and he resolved it quickly. I am impressed how honest .. very hard to find now a days. I highly recommend Don as well ...Thanks Don!

I highly recommended Dons ac/heating last month. After this weekend, I have to retract my opinion. Saturday morning my central air stopped working. I called Don Saturday morning; he was busy, no problem, he said he would come over later. He came 4 hours later, I was happy. He said it was probably the motor but since it was Saturday he couldn't get one. He said he would call me with a price on Monday. Monday morning I called him he said he was busy and didn't get a chance to find our the price of the motor. He said it would probably be about 500 - 600 dollars. I said, "fine, I'll talk to you later". At 6:00 pm I called him and left a message. He called me back and he was very nasty. He said he had regular customers to take care of. The thing that got me angry was that he could have told me this Saturday morning. I have a one month old baby and this was the hottest weekend in June. My wife and baby had to move out for the weekend thinking it was going to be fixed on Monday. I would have gotten someone else if I had known he wasn't going to take the job. If he doesn't care about a one month old baby....what will he care about you?

During my recent dilemma, Don's response time was more than adequate after I reached out to him with my problem during this heat wave. His professionalism and honesty, is just a few of the reasons I and others I've recommended over the last many years, continue to use his services. My problem was focused on the outside compressor unit not activating properly; to which I had thought I was confronted with a major expense ahead of me. Turned out, the fan to the compressor was the only problem and a major problem averted!. He could of ( as many other contractors I have come across will do ) , charged me for a new fan and motor , along with its capacitors that help the run the unit in unison for proper/optimum operations.

It turned out just to be a routine service call and charge.He even took the extra time to check over the whole unit {inside and out}.. while he explained to me about how to properly care for; and maintain this semi older unit to save myself further issue next season(s). Don is a straight forward man, and just like every other decent worker trying to provide for his company and his family needs to make a living. Although, it should be noted, his honesty and professionalism always makes the difference in the end, for he could of made an expensive project out of my situation. ( He even followed up the same {and} next day to be sure all operations were as good as he left it ! ). If you want someone whom you can trust , look no further than Don's heating and cooling!

Don is a true Professional. 3 years ago I was told by a competitor that I needed to replace my boiler. Don fixed the boiler and is still working like a charm. I would recommend Don to anyone.
