UPDATE - March 2023 - Again we can sincerely give the highest recommendation for Carrano Air! They are the only contractor we have had for repeat business in over 22 years. We are currently loving our new furnace and look forward to the new air conditioner. Herb, Connor, Mario & Angelo were beyond fabulous, not to mention their outstanding office staff! From the initial phone call to report the outage, to the highly knowledgeable salesman Herb, to the install and calibration of the furnace and air conditioning units we could not be happier. They respected our time, were not "high pressure sales", excellent communication through every step, and most of all very conscientious of our escape artist pups to be sure that all gates and doors were closed appropriately. What can we say - friendly, knowledgeable, trustworthy, efficient, respectful, affordable, courteous... a real pleasure every step of the way. The replacement of a failing 20+ year old HVAC system was a quick and painless process. Carrano Air HVAC Contractors, Inc. worked miracles. An old metal scrap unit vanished from the Science and Industry Museum. The new unit's power and size are just what we require. This evaluation was written two weeks after experiencing the change. The heat pump is fantastic. Thank you very much. Highly recommended!

Honest, prompt, and professional! Had an issue with my air day before company was due to arrive, called Carrano they came after hours and got me up and running in no time! My tech Anthony was great, will definitely be using them for all my HVAC needs. Thank you Carrano!!

The people that did our installation work were from Carrano Air HVAC Contractors, Inc. They were approachable, competent, and total authorities in their field. Our installation took some time because it involved removing HVAC equipment that was 20 years old and installing new equipment on the roof of our unit and in a small furnace closet. They put in eight hours of constant labor to make sure everything was ideal and that all of our inquiries were addressed.

Carrano Air s by far the best in the tri-state area. They were referred to me by a trusted business associate, and I am so happy that I took her advice. A Carrano representative immediately responded to my call, and I had a consultant at my house (shout out to Herb Kern who is patient and fantastic) within a few days, and installers at my house within 2 weeks, tops! I had an ANCIENT system in place so it took all day in the heat, but the Carrano crew got it done - very professional, very considerate. Even the owner, Steve Carrano showed up to cover for one of the installers who had to leave because of an unexpected family emergency. That to me spoke volumes about his company. The post-installation guys who came a few days later to make sure all was up to snuff were great as well - professional, courteous. Look no further. Go with Carrano Air. You will not be disappointed! Carrano did a great job coming in when scheduled as promised, and knowledgeable. Diagnosed the problem quickly, ordered parts and returned to replace as promised. Herb, Alicia and Anthony were well coordinated! Would use them again!

Carrano air is the best. Had a problem with my ac unit and a technician came out within a day from a call. They determined the problem was caused by a storm that came thru the area and the owner worked with me and my insurance company to have a new unit installed. Within 2 days they installed the unit. I would recommend Carrano Air to family and friends..

You would think a company wouldn't try to rip off a customer that used them to purchase and install their AC unit 3 years prior. Well, I was sorely mistaken.

I was charged $450 to replace a broken capacitor that took no longer than 30 minutes to fix. I asked them for a breakdown of the cost and all they could say is that it was a "flat rate". There was no communication of this "flat rate" pricing beforehand. It seems to be made up to cover their shady business practices. Not to mention they came much later than the promised time.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Very unprofessional and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Update: Promises to get a call back from the manager and have yet to hear back. Disgusted with the way they handled this situation.
Please choose Carrano if you want to be scammed. We had a brand new AC installed 4 years ago by them for over 8k. Fast forward to now the AC stopped working during this heat wave. We called to have them come out to see what was wrong with it. They weren't able to fit us in so we had to find another place to stay until they could, fine. They gave us a time between 12-4pm mind you we work and we'd like some notice as we aren't at the location because it was so hot. She also said they would leave if they got there and we werne't home...The lady on the phone told us between 12-4pm and finally at 4pm we called and asked where the guy was. She said he was coming and would be there shortly, they finally arrive AFTER 5pm so we worked in a blazing apartment for them to not show up until after work hours.

The guy comes to diagnose and says there's a gas leak and our capacitor was dead, mind you we got this AC 4 years ago fro them and to our dismay unfortunately is not covered under their warranty. Then he said FALSE ALARM on the gas leak. Before telling us the diagnosis and final cost he fixed it and slapped us a $440 bill after just 30 minutes. We had to pay it since he already fixed it without letting us know. My fiance calls and asks for an itemized bill to which the lady says its A FLAT RATE for the service. LOL. If that was the thing why couldn't they have told us the pricing. They refuse to send an itemized bill even after we were told that he would charge us for the capacitor. 30 minutes and $440 later.

Honestly it's BS. Be warned, if you use them make sure you tell them to tell you the price and not fix it with the go ahead. They have no regard for their own customers and are unprofessional. DO NOT USE THEM IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF.

Just used Carrano Air for a High Efficiency heat and A/C installation yesterday and I’m extremely happy with their service.
Their pricing was very competitive and the service was outstanding. They arrived first thing in the morning and got right to work with a crew of five. The crew was very professional and took extra care in keeping the area clean. The inside installation was in a small utility room which required some creative ductwork which came out beautifully. Once installed they fully tested and walked me through the system. Overall an outstanding job and I highly recommend them.
