I had a furnace stop working at a vacant property I had for sale. I was concerned about the pipes freezing as it was only 40 degrees in the house. I searched for HVAC companies on google and found Ed. He came out right way (after business hours). He diagnosed the issue and even drove about 30 miles away to get the new part. Ed repaired the furnace and got it up and running so a possible pipe freeze up was adverted! I would definitely recommend Ed's Heating & A/C!

I called Ed to have someone come out and help fix my AC unit. Before showing up he gave me tons of advice to fix the problem; with his help, I was able to get my ac working. Ed’s will definitely be my first call in the future

I had a small job that i needed to be done. Eddie came out for an estimate. I found him to be knowledgeable concerning what needed to be done. In short he was professional, understanding of my concerns, combined with good communication skills. The day of the job he was on time, and performed the job in a good workmanship like manner.

This review is rather lengthy, but if you plan to spend thousands of
dollars on a new HVAC system for a home you intend on keeping
for some time, I suggest you continue reading.

First, some history. We have had a 1989 vintage Amana 80% 100K
BTU furnace mated with a 1974 vintage Wards 2 ton central AC unit.
This system was in the house when purchased (26 years ago).
Our electric bills during the cooling months were outrageous.
The winter months were also high partly due to a large finished room
in the basement requiring supplementary electric heat once the outside
temperature falls below 10 degrees.

I have always done all repair and maintenance on this equipment since
we have owned the house. I was noticing over the last few years some
evidence that the heat exchanger was likely going to fail soon. Add
that impending doom to the fact that I was quite aware that these
appliances were costing us a small fortune to operate. It was time to
address this issue rather than wait until a winter emergency, when we
would be at the mercy of what equipment is in stock and who is
available to install NOW.

I have done research on available equipment and have narrowed it
down to a short list. Now it was time to chose an installer. This was
a real eye opener. I have a strong background in electronics and
mechanics, I understand HVAC equipment. I also know how to
identify people with talent and sales people that clearly have only
very basic knowledge of the job they perform. Knowing that the
performance and reliability of any HVAC system is 20 percent
equipment and 80 percent installer. Choosing wisely is paramount.

I had six estimates done, four from local big name outfits, and two
from privateers. Of the six, only three did a proper manual J load
test to determine proper equipment sizing. Only two made mention
of the fact that my duct work had some shortcomings that would
greatly effect efficiency and perhaps some reliability challenges.
One of those was a big name outfit that dismissed this as “no big
deal, and when can we install”? The other was a privateer that
said “you really should address this” That is exactly what I did.

Ed Pelto of Ed's Heating & AC was the only guy to cover all these
bases and inspire enough confidence to get my business. The others
were hacks or simply sales people that will sell you anything they
can get away with. Ed and I both played a role in correcting the
duct work prior to the equipment arrival. Ed and his son did an
exemplary installation and cleaned up after themselves as expected
of true professionals.

The end result 1 ½ years later is a house that is far more comfortable,
quieter, and no longer requires supplemental electric heat. Cleaner
humidified air and HUGE monthly savings. Our summer bills are
about $130.00 less per month, and the winter months about $70.00
less. We also have the peace of mind having 10 years of warranty
and knowing Ed is only six miles away. Five stars for Ed's!
Thank you Ed, you're a real pro.

AC gave up last weekend. Ed came quickly to our house on a Sunday, analyzed the problem, replaced the broken parts, and we were done sweating. He always gave me a heads up on what the charges would be. Great service!

Ed installed our furnace, ac, humidifier and air exchanger in August of 2006 and the system has performed flawlessly ever since. I have referred him to many friends and family without worry.

My AC was out when I got home last night at 10:00 pm so I texted Ed this morning at 6:27 am. Just my luck when we have consecutive 90 degree days. By 7:45 am he fixed the problem and was on to his next call.

ED IS AWESOME!

He's done a number of jobs for us in the past and is always on time, courteous and fair.

A shout out to Ed Pelto!!!!! On 7/23/15 during one of our heat waves with HIGH humidity,,,He not only got my ac working again but was able to help me save some real money! How you ask?
Well prior to Ed coming out, I had a different vendor come out (Oconnor's One hr heating and ac) to check the status of my non working ac purchased 3 yrs ago. Oconnors advised my motor was shot and that it would cost me 427.00 with my 15% discount. Oconnors never offered to honor the warranty, I obviously did not accept Oconnors services. And I have since cancelled my services for annual maintenance with them. I called Ed instead. Thank You Ed sooo very much. And bless you too!
Please know that I reported O'connors to the BBB to hopefully help others avoid costly services NOT needed. Kindly, Jan A.
