They sent a technician out Josh, he was great. He explained everything clearly and took care of the broiler right away. When they came out right away and ordered the parts I needed to keep my broiler together. It was Great comfort to know it wasn't dying and we just needed to get the air out the pipes and need to find a plumber to do that. Wish they did it so it could of been done but everyone has their specialty. UPDATE: They were wrong. I needed a new broiler. Two days later we started having real issues. Had to find someone that actually works on broilers on a daily to figure out what was really going on. Thanks for trying Center point.
-9 below real feel -26 below. Our heater was out. We waited all day but the repair man had until 11pm to arrive. So we(my wife, 17 yr old, 4 and 7 yr old) sat here all day trying to stay warm as the furnace cycled on and off. I called at 8pm and they said they still have 3 hours they just got busy they will be there. Well 11pm came and went and so did our heat and no repair man from center point energy ever came, no phone call to let us know not to stay up any more. Also had a nice Frigidaire fridge that needed repaired(a nice stainless steel side by side) however they said "parts unavailable so they said can't help me and would not repair it."
I'm going to state a fact and also my opinion.. an old couples heat went out in their trailer and the temperature was around zero. I called CenterPoint Energy service Plus for them because they had the service plan but they weren't comfortable making the call I was put on hold for an extended amount of time then when I finally did get through I was told and this was 9:00 in the morning that their technician had until 11:59 p.m. to show up I asked about space heaters I was told that unless the heat was going to be out for 24 hours that they weren't going to supply space heaters I was happy that I lived close by that these older people had a warm place to be until that evening but I felt as though the service was a let down yes they did get the furnace going that night around 9:00 but had that older couple had to sit there all day it wouldn't have been the most healthy situation again this is just my opinion and the facts as I was given by the customer service rep.. when the technician did get there he was wonderful he worked fast and he got his job done and the furnace is still working couldn't ask for more but you can't leave vulnerable people sitting in the cold in Minnesota in the winter again my opinion..

I would never buy another thing through Minnegasco When you want service they give you a time slot of between 8am and 8 pm. and that is usually at least 5 days out

Waited 2 weeks to have them come out too look at dishwasher . They had to order parts which is fine just sucks not having a dishwasher. Got the parts and called for 2nd appointment. Well when they said they were going to be there which was 8 to 4 they called at 2 said got changed too 8 to 6 then 30 min later called again and said it's canceled and rescheduled too the next day with same time window. What's the point of scheduling something if it can just be canceled and rescheduled with no explanation
I called as soon as I got the email to remind me to have our furnace and fireplace tuned up for winter, I was able to get in the same day, which is pretty unusual. Nice technician and did a good job. The person who took my call was one of the nicest I've ever dealt with at CenterPoint, and they are all nice. Keep up the good work. Thanks again.
Troy was very knowledgeable, and precise. He did not rush through the repair and did an excellent job diagnosing the issue and repairing my dishwasher so that it now runs like a brand new appliance. I am so happy and appreciate Troy and his talent.
Heater went out. Called in the morning, all they had was an all day/ night appt. The tech was out within the hour and had the heater fixed and back up and running in a 1/2 hour. Tech 8308 was professional, courteous and so quick! So worth the money. Thank you!
Fifth visit in six months for the same issue on a dishwasher that is less than four years old. Repair technician are always very nice, but obviously ineffective. Dishwasher worked for five days and error codes reappeared on day six. Each time we call in for an appointment the wait is at least two weeks “because many customers are without heat” (or air conditioning in warm months). Because they’ve already collected payment, there is little incentive for them to provide timely or decent service.
3/4/19 Technician literally just pulled out of our driveway after assuring my husband and me that everything looked great. Walked over to dishwater and it’s completely dead. Currently on hold after being hung up on once. I am beyond furious at this complete waste of time and money.
3/11/19 6:45 pm Now nine hours in on an eight hour appointment window. Told someone may be here before midnight.
3/11/19 7:42 pm After 1.5 hours on the phone and asking to speak to a supervisor, was told my assigned technician was done working at 4pm today.
I would say 95% of the time the repair technicians who have visited my house have been very helpful. Most of them are tenacious, friendly, and are patient in explaining to me the problem, and what needs to be done. I unfortunately have had many visits to my home due to old appliances. This service has made it affordable to keep everything in my home in working condition.
