Terrible services for all the months you pay. They could not get to a furnace repair for 3 days and then never ordered parts and then it was another 3 days to get them back to do the repair. Thats a week with out heat. This plan is a straight rip off. Dealing with Tanika and Taylor over there was a nightmare. I was still charge for services they never even completed. They cant do what they say they do.

I finally quit Home Service Plus after well over ten years of wasting my money. It sounds like a great idea but after 6+ months of not fixing our dishwasher and todays episode of “we don’t cover that” when two zones of our furnace don’t shut off I’m happy to be done with it. It didn’t help that todays tech didn’t even say hi or tell me his name!

They do a great job! Annual tune-ups are typically booked months in advance!

It is incredibly convenient and liberating to feel like I can have a technician come out for "free." Also, generally the technicians do good work and are knowledgeable. That's why there are two stars.
The other three stars are not selected because it's only marginally worth it. I've been paying for the repair plan service for many, many years but have only used it a handful of times. After my recent experience, I'm considering dropping HSP. I will certainly drop it once I replace all of my covered appliances.

Recently, I called for furnace service. The technician indicated that my furnace is old I should consider signing up for the Replacement Plan. But he also told me my furnace could last through the winter or five more years. Because of other life events, I didn't have the chance to research and sign up for the replacement plan for a few weeks. A few days after signing up, I called for furnace service again but this time the technician tagged my furnace and said I could no longer use it. Because the first technician wasn't as diligent as he could be, I didn't know my furnace was so close to death. I could have replaced it during a warm month but instead, it died when the weather dropped to single digits and there was a Thanksgiving holiday to schedule around.
Additionally, if the first technician had indicated that my furnace needs were dire and I should sign up for the Replacement Plan right away, at least I would have been able to use it. However, because he led me to believe I had time, I waited until after my wedding to do the research. Had he told me to sign up asap, I would have made past the 30 day waiting period and been able to use the service.

I’ve been paying for this service for years, the customer service is the worst! Made an appointment but they lost it? When I called to ask what is going I got the run around and they refused to allow me to speak with a manager. The service techs do good work . This program is no longer with it due to horrible customer service. The response from this company is absolutely laughable and useless. Liars, fakes and frauds running this place.

It's nice to have them come fix your appliance for free. But the 8am-8pm window really kills a whole day. And the technician showed up at my house and took a ten minute power nap in the van before entering the house.

Edited... heat went out . They gave me an 8am-11pm window. They called two hours ago and said they would be here in 30 minutes.

Our furnace broke down during the holidays, and I expected to be upcharged for the holiday, but what I didn't expect was the technician to misdiagnose the issue with the furnace, order an unnecessary part, and lie to us that the part would arrive on the holiday itself. But it didn't stop there--when we called CenterPoint the next day asking where the part for the furnace was, they were extremely unhelpful. The customer service representative laughed and told us the parts store was closed and that we should call back tomorrow. Which we did, but the next day we were given the same answer and when I requested to speak to billing to not be charged for the expedited delivery for the part, they laughed and transferred us to billing two separate times, knowing that they were closed and we would be disconnected (it wasn't until our third call that a customer service representative told us they were closed). Long story short, we ended up having to call a local technician and cancelled the HSH we had signed up for when our furnace stopped working. The local technician let us know that they had misdiagnosed the problem, probably in order to upcharge us for the part. We were charged less to fix the furnace than we were charged for the misdiagnosed visit. On top of this, it was during the coldest streak of winter so we ran the house on space heaters for three days, which I'm sure CenterPoint loved. Have very little hope that a company this dishonest makes this right. Have already had customer service supervisors lie about leaving voicemails for follow up. Beware of this company, go local, and it'll save you time and money in the long run.

The experience I had with Centerpointe was vile. No-one should go through what our family just did. We were without heat for five days. Not one representative or service person listened to any concerns or took into account that a person living in the home is disabled. I was talked down to, blamed, and gaslit. It is impossible to not use this company which makes it worse. Be weary and cautious dealing with this company.

While it is convenient to pay a monthly fee to be able to have a technician come out and service my appliances whenever they stop working, it is EXTREMELY disappointing that EVERY time I call to request a service, I must wait 3-4 days, OR LONGER, for a technician to come. Most recently, my home’s HVAC system is not putting out heat and I have to wait over a WEEK to have someone come out due to “high service volumes, lower priority, and the Thanksgiving holiday week”. This is entirely unacceptable especially with two little children in the house. If the technicians weren’t so efficient, I would cancel the service and save over $900.00/year.
