I called them to set up an appointment to reconnect a dryer vent. They promptly got me scheduled and ready to go! I got a call back over an hour later telling me that while they service both towns north and east of me 8 minutes away, they absolutely will not come to my town. It says they service my town on Google Maps. It would not be a big deal at all to stretch 8 minutes further down the road. The problem with this company is that they run on a black and white computerized idiology. A regular human, capable of making decisions based upon common sense, would have said "we can make it happen." They aren't a "let's get it done" type of company. Bummer.
Edmund did a thorough examination of our heating and air conditioning system and was able to identify the problem. Now we will be scheduling again to get the issue resolved. Good job!
Blue Ox is very responsive, came out quickly, and didn't try to gouge me on price. I would highly recommend their services, and won't hesitate to use them next time.
Both individuals were professional, respectful and thorough couldn't ask for more. I'm giving a four due to other experiences with this company that were not good. But Duct cleaning they are the best!
Dan was a great technician, they are lucky to have such an experienced tech. I would use Blue Ox for all my HVAC and they have done plumbing as well, they are great!
$380 for a half hour visit and a $10 part. Zac, the tech from Blue Ox heating and Air is very good. My furnace blower wasn't starting. He found the problem in the first five minutes, a bad capacitor. Capacitor is a less than $10 item, he charged me $380 to quote me for the repair and I agreed, the weather was single digits that night. First problem was when I gave him a coupon for the bill eighty some dollars off with the approval of the quote. He then said he already gave me the discount and then gave me a new invoice with the discount for the same price. Funny how the price changed after there was a quote. He also quoted me pricing for a new blower, somewhere around $1,200 for an OEM blower and $699 for a replacement blower. I can buy the same blower from McMaster-Carr for under $200. I think we need to stop sending our children to college and send them to vocational school instead, heating and air or auto mechanics, both are getting better than lawyers and doctors.
I worked with Blue Ox to replace and add some ducting and vent work for a basement bathroom addition, and a basement bathroom fan replacement. They arrived as scheduled, provided a very complete picture of the work to be done and provided a bid, with work completed next day. Excellent experience with this portion of a stressful home improvement project.

Did a great job! Tight space and got everything in and looks good. Got everything up to code also. Inspection was quick with no issues.

The furnace fan was not coming on. Tim determined the issue and returned with the part two days later. He installed it and everything works fine.
