Twin City Heating and Air set up an appointment for the next day. The service man was excellent and the price reasonable. If I have any problems in the future I Will call Twin City Heating and Air.

They did not pull a permit before starting the job, only filed for it after I asked about it, removed my old (working) furnace and started the sheet metal work knowing they didn't have a furnace on hand to put in, which left me without a furnace for weeks (it was in August/September thankfully) and unable to go with a different contractor. Ended up with a "scratch and dent" unit for which they gave me a rebate of $200. Installers left the condensation drain line laying across the basement floor (code violation) and told me that the only other option was to install a pump (then do that!), so I had to have them out again after returning from vacation to install it. In addition, the furnace wasn't working upon my return, requiring a service call. The whole process has been going on for nearly 4 months and the job is yet to be inspected by DSI.

I’d recommend getting competitive bids. Our central air unit needed a capacitor, which, according to online research, costs approximately $5. For 20 minutes of labor plus the capacitor they charge $370. This does not include service charge.
