C & C HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING

I wrestled with leaving a review, as I deeply care about small business and the impact of negative reviews. However, after seeing another story similar to mine featured on WXYZ - Family shares story of carbon monoxide scare during their annual furnace tune-up - I felt obligated to share my own recent experience.

I had a technician come out in February for a furnace tune-up. Near the completion of his work, he notified me that my furnace was emitting dangerous levels of carbon monoxide and they had to immediately shut it off.

While I had no reason to distrust this company given their high reviews, I wanted a second opinion. Another company came out, spent over an hour at my home, and detected zero carbon monoxide.

I notified C&C of this which led to another C&C technician to come out a few days later. He verified that what initially told to me was inaccurate - no carbon monoxide could be found - and he could not provide me of any explanations why I was told I had a dangerous reading which led to my unit to be tagged and shut off.

This company did not instill trust in me and is not a place that I would refer my friends or family to. I hope these are not malicious false readings.

I called them out for a thermostat repair for my mother. They went out there and told her she needed new batteries! However, they put batteries in it, but they were dead batteries!! My mother is low income. They wanted to charge her an emergency fee and a service fee. $120 just to put a dead battery in! Granted..after my husband explained that she makes less than 1k a month on SS. They said they would discount her service... TO PUT BATTERIES IN!!! THAT WERE DEAD! Thank God I talked to my brother-in-law that's HVAC. I only give it a one star only because I feel bad for people that are old like my mother! Pay attention to what really is wrong with their THERMOSTAT. So simple as a battery!!

Removed 23-year-old furnace on Tuesday in February and installed a new one the next day. Very happy, from diagnosis to finish.

We scheduled an appointment last week and they sent a technician when I asked. He was prompt and curteous. He had been here before and remembered. I certainly would recommend C&C and use them again.

Brian was very knowledgeable and very informative. He seemed to know his business, and gave
me a bunch of different options. I am going to replace my 32 year old furnace and a/c. Installation is tomorrow.

Dan was awesome. He was very professional and personable. I would highly recommend Dan for any C&C service. 5 stars for Dan!!!!

On time professional efficient clean informative the technician david did good getting me priced right on an unexpected replacement furnace . And installer Anthony did a solid job getting it up and running highly recommend this company was a nice experience.
