    Had no heat. I have gas so looked up baystate gas/Columbia gas is MA. Wilson was listed as a contractor on the contractor list. Called them ..they came out said I needed a new thermostat..which I also suspected as it would not let me clear out all digital settings. And I had put a new battery in. The heat would only come up once around 6am. They put in new thermostat fir $90. And charged $125 to come to house so had a bill for 215.00 . Technician installed new thermostat set it on 68 and inside temp said 60 (tech said because it was in truck)..said I was all set. I paid them (you have to pay when they come) they left and I had to leave to go to appt. When I came back I noticed appt was still cold. I looked at thermostat..it didn't change...i push heat up to 72...still no heat. Re tried many times trying to get it to work no luck. Called Wilson back got machine I left a message They came back out next day Turns out they had to replace a piece of pipe Re-charged me 125.00 destination fee to cone back to finish the job they never fixed the first time. $150 second chge.Never use them again rip off

    Came out same day for a service call for central air. Technician was polite and professional, and appropriately cautious in the setting of Covid 19. I have been a Wilson customer for many many years. They provide fantastic service

    I was very pleased to deal with such a knowledgeable group. I thought I knew what I wanted based on some previous conversations with other "specialists". After talking with Gary I was amazed to find a more efficient system for the same cost and he was able to help me with a rebate! I suggest Wilson Services for anyone looking for technologically advanced old fashioned service!

    I just had my central air conditioning system replaced, in my ranch house, and Wilson's did a great job. They went above and beyond fixing some old problems, and making the system more efficient. I highly recommend them.

    This review is not for the quality of his installation as I can’t attest to that as we never got to that stage. It could be very good; I had assumed that given his ratings.

    This rating though is for my experience in trying to get him to provide a quote for a central air system for my elderly parents house.

    First, we never spoke as he did everything through email or through his assistant calling me. Even email was problematic for him as I had to call to ask why I hadn’t received a response. His email said he had forgotten to hit “send.”

    Then when I described the install by email and informed him I wanted to know what he “spec’d” after he met with my father at the house, he questioned why I said “spec’d.” I said it was shorthand for specified. His response: “i think of spec i think that someone is drafting up a specification and i am 'bidding'. I don't 'bid' spec work. ”. I said it was residential, the house I grew up in, and I always used the word specified. His response: “Yes, I understand spec is shorthand for specify. It's rare that people use that word. “. Hmm. I grew up there. Lots of people use that to ask the system.

    Then he scheduled to see my parents to review the house. His assistant calls me to say he couldn’t reach them and left, so had to reschedule another day. Apparently he tried to call my fathers cell phone, which admittedly he doesn’t often answer but left no message. His assistant said he rang the doorbell, and no one answered. This is a small one story house with two people inside - they really didn’t hear the doorbell? Both their cars were in the driveway but he left?

    When I questioned the assistant on did he really come to the door she didn’t know and was only relying on him.

    But I received this nice email:

    “Hi Richard, I'm sorry, this isn't working out, too many odd circumstances.

    Once my general integrity is called into question, I must bow out.

    Thanks for the opportunity however.”

    Yeah, if it is this hard to get someone out to quote a job then it makes me worry about the service.

    In his defense, it could be the prihrctvwas more complicated than he wanted as I wanted ducts I stalked not just minisplits slapped on the walls.

    Again - you should rate those that had positive dealings with him higher then mine. One was only by email - which itself was annoying.

    Although located in Northampton, this is the very most north they're willing to go. They would do a call in Southampton or Westfield, 20+ miles away, but won't go to Sunderland, which is 12 miles away from their office. They are Nest certified technicians, which are few and far between, but they won't fix a Nest thermostat they haven't installed themselves, so if you did the simple install on your own and the thing starts acting up a year later, tough luck.

    Can't really leave a service review....I just spoke with this company and tried to schedule a appointment to add heat to my basement...they stated that I had to pay 100 dollars for them to come out and give me an estimate...And if I stayed with them it would be deducted off my bill....I said well what if you are to expensive and I want to go with someone else....I'm out 100 dollars..they said yes..im tired of businesses out there acting like they r doing me a favor by hiring them....when it is the other way around....i will not be recommending them to anyone. And further more you should be happy to even get business in today's market.

    For Seth: I hear you, but the truth is if you want the platinum service that Gary provides, it seems like a small price to pay to get guaranteed service (even on Christmas Eve). I don't really think your comment about people being lucky to have business in this economy is correct....there's plenty of business to go around and you are just not a good fit for his service, that's all. Not Gary's fault.
