    Pioneer installed a whole-house minisplit heat-pump system. Jeff our sales guy was very responsive to all our questions and didn't pressure us at all to move faster than we were comfortable. The installation crew did a fantastic job, and cleaned up immediately so you could barely tell anyone had done any construction work.

    Professional, efficient, and knowledgeable! I cannot say enough good things about this company. We had oil heat and after an energy audit, met with Pioneer's estimator, Jeff, who walked us through the conversion to a whole house heat pump using our existing (and good) central air ductwork. He answered all our questions and anticipated some we had not thought to ask. After we got his quote, which seemed quite reasonable especially considering the MassSave rebates, we moved ahead with the installation. The crew was here for three days and they were incredibly professional, nice, happy to answer questions (i.e. patient with me), and thorough. (Added bonus: They vacuumed the attic stairs TWICE, which is two more times than we have ever vacuumed them in the four years we've lived here.) I could write ten pages about how pleased we were with all of them. The new system is terrific and easy to use; I can already tell we made the right decision. Pioneer followed up with us a few days after installation to make sure everything was running smoothly and to see if we had questions, and filled out their portion of the MassSave rebate paperwork and had it ready for us. Highly recommend! Ten stars!

    Pioneer Heating & Cooling was fast, professional and kind. They not only fixed my heat 2 days before Thanksgiving so that we could host, they set us up with a service plan so that our heat and AC would continue to work AND taught us all about our system. I would highly recommend them!

    Called Pioneer Heating & Cooling Inc. on a Tuesday to make an appointment as our furnace had stopped responding to our wall-mounted thermostat. Speaking to the woman who answered the phone, she told me that she would "put me on the schedule and hopefully someone would be out by Thursday". Thursday came and went, so I called back. They were able to schedule a technician for early Friday morning, she said the service fee was $99 plus whatever the repairs cost. I agreed.

    Friday comes, and I walk the technician through the troubleshooting process we had taken to eliminate what the problem might be. He disassembles the furnace panels and locates the issue, the flame sensor has gone bad. "No problem" I say, how much would it be to replace it? $199 + tax. Seems high for such a small part. He also doesn't have one with him, so after 11 minutes at my residence he leaves, and tells me he might be back today if they have it in stock, he might not. Ok?

    In the 8 hours since I've heard from PH&C, or the technician, I do a simple google, and the part averages $8 with a HIGH price of $11. I call PH&C and ask why the price difference, and they say "it costs what it costs". They are able to give me no explanation other than the technician decides the prices. Red flag 🚩

    I decide to call the technician directly and ask, he does not provide me with any additional information other than the price again: $199 + tax. No thank you. I inform him that I am not interested in the repair, at which time he asks for my credit card information. He claims the total is now $178, instead of the $99 originally agreed upon at the time of booking. Apparently the $99 does NOT cover anything other than BOOKING the appointment. He quotes me at $79 for an hour of work, despite his 11 minutes at my residence and the fact that he disassembled my furnace and left it. I decline giving my credit card information and ask to be billed.

    Today I receive a bill in the mail for $244?! Quoting the original $99 "Trip Charge", and now $145 for the 11 minutes the technician was at my residence. No installation, no part, no nothing: $244.

    HIGHLY recommend you find service elsewhere. Their shady (at best) scheduling and billing practices will make you wish you had.

    Our air conditioner was not working. We called to schedule an appointment on Monday, the woman that answered the phone told us someone would call us back to schedule the appointment. On Tuesday someone called back and an appointment was scheduled for that Friday. The time frame they gave was between 8am -4pm. On Friday I took the day off from work, later office called around 2pm to let me know that they would not be able to make it out to us that day. I let her know that I had taken the day off from work and that we had our 90 year old grandmother coming to visit and it was 78 degrees in our home. She told me that she was sorry, she didn’t know I took the day off and that their previous customers take priority. She said someone would called me on Monday morning to reschedule. No thank you, I called another local business and I have an appointment Monday am between 830am -930am. Much more reasonable timeframe and easier to schedule an appointment.

    I used Pioneer Heating for the first time today for a rental unit. I'm so happy that I found them! Tyler called 15 minutes before arriving. Not only did he fix the problem but he also took a few minutes to concisely explain what was wrong. They are also reasonable for commercial rates. They will be my 'go to' Heating Company from now on!     I bought a house in 2018 with a new heating system they installed. It stopped working and the plumber said it was normal wear and tear. My new plumber said it was improperly installed. I called and spoke to their office manager. Their office manager gaslighted me about it putting it on me and then when I spoke to the owner he said the same office manager would get back to me and she never did. Terrible.

    Pioneer Heating and Cooling was wonderful installing a new furnace and central air unit. They arrived when promised and completed the project on time. Nick is a great person to work with. He was in touch throughout the process which was just what I needed. The are very easy to work with and know what their doing.     Hats off to Pioneer Heating & Cooling. They installed a new furnace for us a few years ago and have recently done some AC repair work. They are professional, on time, and back up their work. If you are looking for a dependable HVAC company I recommend you give them a call.
