    The quick response to our leaking old water tank and old furnace gave us peace of mind from having a disaster in our basement. They came out immediately and surveyed our situation, wrote up 2 separate proposals for us to review, and our Friday contract signing had our job completed on Tuesday.
    The first truck dropped off the equipment at 8am, and the 3 men that performed the installation came with 2 trucks about 15 minutes later. They set up a pipe cutting shop inside the larger truck, and had easy access through the garage into the basement.
    They were very friendly, and extremely thorough in their adaptation to our 3 zone arrangement, explaining where and why the new plumbing would be laid out. They picked up behind themselves, even removing some paint chips in the grass that fell off the old rusting tank in the yard as they took the old stuff away.
    Our new furnace is quieter, and should save us money with better efficiency. There was a $1,000 rebate which they took right off the contract price so we didn't have to pay it and wait for a rebate check.
    We can't say enough about them, as they are always responsive to our needs and our annual cleaning/check up. We have been loyal fuel customers since October of 1998, and recommend them highly.

    I have always had a great experience with the folks at Richards. Always really nice people. When I accidentally ran my oil tank dry, they came very quickly and showed me how to bleed the line. Really appreciate their help!

    Such a surprisingly great experience with Richardโ€™s from start to finish. They totally replaced my heating system quickly and efficiently (and also, for a lower cost then all the other quotes I received for the same exact system). 10 stars!

    ((also, I see Bridget taking some flack in the reviews below -- just wanted to note that I was stunned with her kindness and flexibility and bending over backwards to make things work. honestly. she was a highlight for me, and I'm super surprised to see some people saying otherwise below))

    We've had disappointing heating maintenance service from Richard's twice in a row. Both times, we started the day with working heat and then had no heat after they had been here. This year, they replaced the burner motor, saying it was working but would be quieter after it was replaced; this was not the case, it's just as loud. So there is a $100 charge for no reason. When we called back for evening service, it turned out the oil pump was also now broken and needed to be replaced. They had also made a mess in the basement which they said they'd come back to clean; never happened. They are friendly, but this is not good service. We won't be back.

    We have used Richards fuel for the past 3 years. They have been the only company to service our furnace. With that being said, we had a service scheduled today. I was at home waiting with a 10 week old baby. No one ever came to either doors, but my wife received a phone call at work. we were told that someone came to the door and there was no answer and that because we had our last oil delivery from a different company they were not going to service our furnace. Upon calling back, I was told by a very rude and condescending woman name Bridget, the same thing, but that the tech went to the garage door and didnโ€™t get an answer. I was told it was company policy that they canโ€™t service when another company has delivered oil. Well no where on their website does it say anything along those lines. Needless to say, we will never do any service with Richards again, and will tell everyone I can of the horrible customer service they have.

    Excellent company. We had a mini-split a/c installed and the Richard's team was super professional. They were very detailed in their work and super friendly. I highly recommend!
