Wayne has been working on our (overly complicated) Buderus system in Wellesley for the past few years. He is very friendly, takes the time to explain everything, and is clearly very committed to his work. I always appreciate his professionalism and warm nature, and how great he is with my dogs.

Brian D. told me about a water feeder that could be installed on my furnace when he came to clean it, so I ordered it, and requested that he be the installer.
It’s installed now, so I don’t have to worry about it running dry anymore in cold weather.
No one else ever mentioned that I could get this, so I’m thankful that I met Brian D.

Wasn't able to fix our problem, but earned my confidence and will call them again in future. We are having intermittent problems with our high-efficiency boiler - of course it decided to work fine when Wayne (service tech) came out to take a look. He spent 45 mins trying to figure out the issue - unsuccessfully, but didn't charge us and recommended calling a company that are experts in this particular brand. This matched my prior experience with MacFarlane - honest and direct, don't treat me like an idiot, and not trying to maximize their profit at my expense - which means I trust them. Wish more businesses had this attitude.

Do not try to have heat pumps installed through this company! We went back and forth for weeks about options and equipment availability only to finally hear from an installation team member (who was rude and unhelpful) that the equipment we were told was in stock was not. He didn't provide any options or help with next steps, just left it at "we can't commit to an installation date." We had also been told the company would provide support through the process of getting rebates and loans through MassSaves, but when we asked we were told we were on our own. We initially went with MacFarlane over other companies we had gotten quotes from because of their lower prices, but those lower prices definitely come with poor quality of service, so it's worth going to someone else.
