We have been customers since the mid 1990's and would never consider using any other company to service our furnace or heat pump. Carroll Home Services are always prompt, courteous and get the problem fixed on the first visit.

Woke up this morning to a cold house. Seems the old boiler shut down due to " no flame". Tried a reset twice, came on then "no flame". Called up Carroll, got a nice service advisor, around 7:30am. By 10am, service technician is in the driveway. Found a broken wire on the control box, did a slow oil leak repair, put a clean nozzle on the burner, checked performance, and sweet, we've got heat again. Long time customer, and will continue to be one.

We have been with Carroll for years. In the past 2+ years their service has deteriorated a lot. We have run out of oil for a week during the coldest period of weather during the entire year ( we are on automatic delivery). We have had oil delivered at the end of the heating season resulting in an overage of over $1000 which we were asked to pay immediately. And when we worked out a payment plan I was hounded by a collection agency multiple times a week throughout the agreed upon payment period who said they had no documentation of the payment plan. And although we have asked for someone to be home when oil is delivered, Carroll does not call ahead as requested. We have been given incorrect information and most recently have discovered that we are being charged significantly over market rate for oil.....

If I could give them a negative number I would. We have had the displeasure of dealing with them for 3 winters now in a rental home. All 3 winters we have run out of oil and been forced to live and sleep in a freezing house. The last 2 winters we were on an automatic refill plan....doesn't matter, oil still runs out.

Our most recent mishap, Tuesday night upon return from an out of town trip we find there is no oil and our house is sub-40 degrees inside. We call Carroll, "we are sorry but no one can come tonight, you should have at least a quarter of a tank according to our calculations." Well your algorithm for assessing fuel levels is flawed, I can assure you of this. After a freezing cold night and being assured we will have a FULL fill up the following day (Wednesday), I come home in the afternoon to discover....you guessed it, no oil. I call Carroll --- "oh the order says to fill your tank on Thursday, the best we can do is send a technician with 10 gallons to get you through the night." Fine ----- send him ----7:30 pm Wednesday we finally get the heat back on. This technician notices we have no fill cap and assures us it will be replaced the following day (Thursday) when we get our tank filled. I bet you can't guess what happened Thursday night when we get home ---- no oil. Customer service tells us that the delivery truck got a flat tire (not my problem), I demand we have oil delivered tonight ---- long periods left on hold, now they tell us that actually the delivery driver came and since we had no fill cap refused to fill our tank. Not sure where the flat tire lie came from??? Not sure why a fill cap was not replaced by the delivery driver as the technician the night before had guaranteed?? Our customer service representative refused to contact a technician to deliver another 10 gallons of oil since at the current time we still had a few drops of oil from the 10 gallon emergency fill up the night before....so TECHNICALLY we aren't out of oil (although I am looking forward to waking up to a 40 degree house), if you want 10 gallons delivered there is a 240 dollar charge. Don't worry, a supervisor (who I'm sure is sleeping in their warm home) will call us during normal business hours. Can't wait for the generous 10 dollar credit we will get for dealing with this 72 hours of misery.

Oh, and here's the kicker.....same thing happened last winter. This company is a disaster. Please avoid them at all costs. I can't wait to be done with them. They simply do not care about their customers and make empty promises consistently. No person deserves this type of treatment from any business. The level of apathy is appalling.

I wanted to like Carroll, because I've enjoyed their service techs who come out. However, over my 5 year period of being a customer they have let my oil run out 2x. This most recent time I didn't get a notification, and it's the middle of January. I went with Griffith Energy, who is coming out for same day delivery and is considerably more affordable than Carroll.

Not sure why you would reach out for a review from me when you closed my account. Not my choice, but you were positive you didn't want my business.

I had my furnace and water heater serviced yesterday.
I believe my technicians name was Anthony, he was extremely professional, polite and respectful. He did the service in an efficient and timely manner. As he was leaving I outstretched my hand to shake his and he politely reminded me we were not allowed to shake hands.

Called for service help and the technician came out the same day. He was friendly and helpful (as always). He explained everything to me in a way that I could understand. This is why we’ve been satisfied Carroll customers for over 20 years.

Overcharged me $200.00+ In oil in February, and this issue is still not resolved. Yet, they keep calling me for payments 30 days late yet still have not given me my money back.

Ran out of oil on a Friday night. Called Saturday morning to ask about an oil delivery. Was told they couldn’t deliver until Monday. Sent tech out with 10 gallons which lasted until 7:30 Saturday night. Called a competitor and had oil delivered Sunday morning. No excuse for allowing a customer to run out of oil and if you do you would think they would do everything in their power to make it right. Glad I made the switch.
