Carroll Home Services are consistently above-average service for the last three years. They're heating repairmen men are expert; prices competitive. Front office personnel are compassionate. worked out a billing arangement when I list my job. Thus, consistently good to excellent.

Wolf in sheep's clothing. First year was great with first experience very quick and fast with professional workers. Second year after the fluff went away. Would not work on pricing of the oil and gave me $1.04 more a gallon estimate than competitor. I know that there is a price spike on oil but even the rate I was given with Tevis was at 3.64 a gallon (with no discount), not $4.07 a gallon. Person I talked to on the phone was unwilling to negotiate and stated that if I go with another company the maintenance fee is an insurance plan and if not used the money is not given back. I feel manipulated and robbed from a company that I thought had the customers interest as a concern. I would use this company for a year and next year when shop elsewhere. Also, Petro was the company that I originally and assigned this company.

This company has terrible customer service representatives. They do not explain anything properly and do not answer questions. I am a first time customer with oil heating, and this company, and will never use them again. I do not recommend using them. I was on a budget billing plan of $100 a month to cover my (automatic fill) heating plan. When I received my 1st bill of over $500, I called to set up the payment plan. Asked how many times they would come out and how the payment plan worked. I was told I was on automatic fill and they calculate how much oil I would need for the heating period, then budget that per month equaling to a $100 payment per month. When I received my 2nd bill of almost $500, I called again to verify my payment plan of only $100 per month because I did not understand how a bill of now almost $1000 was going to be paid in the months I was living at this townhouse if I was only paying $100 per month. The 3rd time they came to fill I said no thank you, but someone came the next day and filled it anyway. By the end of the 6 months of heating my total came out to over $1500. I spoke to someone in March because I did not want the 3rd fill but they couldn't do anything about that because the driver had already filled. I also had my monthly payment increased to $150 to try to pay this outstanding bill and then was told to call back in May when my 6 month heating period was over to make further payment arrangements. The survey reviewer told me they could set up a new payment plan to pay the rest of my bill of almost $1000. So I now have 1/2 a tank of oil that I wont be using and still have to pay for and the remaining 4 months I am living in this townhouse to pay almost $1000 when I should have been budgeted at about $250 from the beginning and the bill would have been paid at the end of the 6 month heating cycle. That's how budget billing is supposed to work.

Carroll Home Services charges an arm and a leg for less than mediocre work. Many of their technicians are inexperienced and fresh out of HVAC school, so their work does not justify their service charge. They pride themselves on 24/7 service but are in fact not a full service company. If you call in the middle of the night their ONE dispatcher covering the night shift will do everything in his power to push your service call off until after 8am the next day.

I know these things because I foolishly hired them for service work. I paid the company $122 for a service call after 5pm for a leaking water heater. Around 10pm, after waiting since 5pm for a call, nobody from the company had showed, so I gave them a call. When I called a man answered the phone and I was told that somebody would have to come in the morning. When I asked for a manager he told me he was the only on in the office and to call back in the morning. I paid the higher fee to get somebody to my home that night because they claim to be a 24/7 service company. The company eventually sent an extremely young tech out who said my unit needed to be replaced. I called another company (local one) who was able to do a repair. My unit is now working fine and it didn't need to be replaced. When I called for a refund of my $122 (or at least the difference between the morning and night call) I was told that I couldn't get one since someone did come out. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS! Find another company.

I have been with Carroll for over 20 years. Outta there, been on a payment plan with them for decades, last couple of years I get continous collection calls because I had a tank top off at the end of the season that also was the same time my "Smart Plan" renewed. I am to pay for the entire tank of oil i just had delivered and continue to pay my monthly payment plan. We would wound up with a huge credit balance on our account. I though payment plans paid off a balance not create a credit balance, they don't pay interest??? I'm shopping

I've had enough of this awful billing problem and now I'm changing oil delivery and burner service. I keep getting huge bills in the mail with zero accountability. They cant tell me what Im paying for just send us money NOW !

Carroll Home Services is the epitome of good customer service. They will pick up the phone 24/7 and can be out on the site the same day.
They will work very hard for your business. The service is great too; it's quick, done by seasoned experts, and the pricing is a good value. For all these reasons, I would not hesitate when recommending them to families and friends.

The gentleman who serviced our burner was very professional and customer service oriented. In fact all the years we have had service from this company he was the best service man we have had yet. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything out to us and was done in a reasonable amount of time. I would ask for him again. He was very polite and genuinely concerned about his work and his customer. Our furnace was serviced on September 20th. 😊

This company claims to have delivered 118 gallons of oil to my father's house 5 months after he passed away and 3 months after his home was sold. We advised Carroll's accounting office of his death, along with a copy of death certificate and ended the contract. We have tried to correct this several times to no avail. The new family was living in the house for 2 months when Carroll supposedly deluvered oil. Kind of think they would've noticed the truck in their driveway...
