Despite having a service contract with Carroll Home Services for a few years, it has been 7 days since they came to my home to repair my heating unit (a blower) and the furnace is still not fixed. The service technician, Doug, determined I needed a new blower as the existing one is cracked. So Doug said they would return the next day with the replacement unit. That was one week ago. It’s important to note that we are now in mid November and we are without heat and we have had two nights with temperatures below freezing. Although I have called every day for the past 7 days to inquire when they will replace the cracker unit, they NEVER return my call. Each day the nice customer service ladies assure me that a technician will call but no one EVER calls! If this is how they treat their loyal contract customers I cannot imagine how they treat a first time caller. This is appalling service! I cannot recommend doing business with Carroll Home Services.

I have been a customer for 15 years. Service was great when family owned . Now calling for service calls takes 30 minutes or more on hold. Service window of 3 hours is NOW a JOKE. YOU'RE LUCKY IF ITS 4 HOURS!! QUALITY OF TECHNICIANS IS ALSO QUESTIONABLE. For years I knew the techs, now they don't even introduce themselves. I will be looking for other alternatives.

Carroll Home Services is outstanding. They have provided maintenance on our systems and most recently performed a multi-system installation. Everything was handled in the most professional manner from the initial estimate to the installation. The person who provided us with the estimate was thorough and concise, providing a detailed estimate before he left. The company scheduled us for the installation on our schedule. The crew that did the installation was incredibly professional and worked hard to ensure a quality installation. They kept us informed throughout the process, provided us with the necessary information about maintenance, and left our house cleaner than it was before they started. We would use their services again and continue to use their annual maintenance contracts to keep our units working efficiently.

I’m fairly certain that all of the mechanics who have serviced our boiler/furnace in the past were technically proficient. However the tech who was here today was both technically proficient and unbelievable thorough. The gentleman pulled the covers off and vacuumed a pile of soot packed above the burn chamber.and spent a good two hours meticulously servicing the entire unit, Name was Patrick and his Tech # was 193. To say I was impressed is an understatement. Your got a keeper there!! Congrats to your firm for finding such a mechanic. Just so great seeing someone with pride and purpose with their chosen trade. Thanks again

Very disappointed lately. Our AC stopped cooling the house suddenly and we had them service the unit in mid July. The technician replaced the capacitor and added refrigerant because he thought there may be a leak but then said he didn't think it was a leak. Everything was working for the next couple weeks and then we had our annual tune-up done 3 days ago (when I called in March the earliest I could get an appointment was August). Now 3 days after tuning it up the AC is no longer working to cool the house and the refrigerant line was frozen earlier today when we checked it. Now we have to have Carroll Home Services come a third time to hopefully address and fix the issue. Only giving 2 stars because the people we have worked with so far have been nice but it's very frustrating that a service call and a tune up have not addressed the issue(s).

I had a new system installed in my home in June of 2019 by CHS. I requested a service call for thermostat being bad. 3 times a technician has come to the house with no fix, no return calls and hours late when finally arrived.
All under warranty. I have been out of heat since 12/31/2021. Last time someone was out was on 1/5/2022. Since then no one has called me to discuss what the fix will be and when. I have had to initiate all conversations.

I was tremendously happy with the installation of my new fuel tank. The work was expertly done in the most professional fashion. I was so impressed with the head technician, Eddie and his partner. I learned a great deal about my fuel tank and what to expect for the heating of my home this winter!! Many, many thanks to Carroll Fuel for your years of service!!

Have let me run out of oil several times then take hours leaving us in the cold to get fuel. Also took 4 call visits to fix a problem. Don’t use this company

I have heard Carroll fuel service for 27 years every time I’ve needed help their own glories have been awesome from the people on the phone to the service men that come to my house I read them number one

On April 27th we called about an emergency plumbing issue and voiced we were leaving town, it was suggested we turn the water off in the home and wait for a tech to call. Upon returning we followed up to see when a tech would be out to be told the emergency 24/7 plumbing services is non existent in fact the plumber works Monday - Friday, so now we are waiting for a supervisory tech to call us on Monday for an emergency plumbing issue we have been trying to get fixed with Carroll's since we have a large credit on our account. The oil delivery guy was nice, 2 customer service reps said they couldn't hear me and hung up and the advertised 24/7 emergency plumbing services are false. If we didn't have such a large credit with this company and limited funds we would not even still be exploring using this company for this or other services.

Update Wed, May 12th. One thing for sure, Carroll Home Services hires some awesome techs. Today Dan, tech #171 came out and fixed our plumbing issue, he was prompt, friendly and most of all he got the job done, while considering what was best for both my needs and my pocket. I would dare to say Dan was excellent, he was able to work around our mess and full house, I think he was sent out to salvage our relationship with the company, but that was an awesome move. Hope to not need you in the future, but if we have a plumbing issue, we will be asking for Dan, tech #171.
