Had to replace my old broken AC and furnace and Five Star did an outstanding job end-to-end. I want to say thank you to Bill who is sales manager for coming same day I called Five Star for an estimate. Big thanks to Dave and Adam who did installation, they did great job, fast and clean. Overall Five Star has very professional and organized team, I would highly recommend them to everyone.

Do not use under any circumstances. First they come out & tell me I need a new air conditioner. They quote me a price of over $5,000.00. I tell them I just have a small pinhole in my line & it needs to be soldered & I need 5 pounds of R22 refrigeration. They tell me it would be $2,200.00 to fix. I ask for a breakdown of the repair cost & the tech say’s it is $240.00 per pound of refrigeration & I need 5 pounds plus the labor to solder the pin hole leak. I inform him that all companies I checked with charge $90.00 per pound for R22 so it should be $450.00 for the refrigeration not $1,200.00. The tech said that’s their price take it or leave it. I of course left it! Also they wanted $1,000.00 labor which is also ridiculous. Called another company & had the whole job completed including the 5 pounds of R22 refrigeration for $690.00. This company does nothing but tries to sell you a whole new air conditioner that you Don’t need & if they can’t make a sale then they charge you over 3 times what honest companies will charge.

5 Star has been our HVAC company of choices since moving to Arlington Heights. The vast majority of the service visits have been by Bill Nickel. Couldn't ask or a better person or a more professional service technician Friendly, efficient, professional, ready to answer any question with honesty and offer suggestions to improve our home environment. Will continue to ask for him to be our go to guy.

Just had Marty perform our annual furnace/ AC maintenance today. We have had Marty perform our annual service since we installed our systems 10 years ago. Great service always. Professional and knowledgeable about all installed products. Our systems run well and our family is very comfortable in our home. We are so happy with the service and company that we do not hesitate to recommend them to friends, neighbors, and family. My son bought a townhouse and needed replacement of furnace, A/C and water heater within a year of moving in. Five star did a great job of handling this installation also at a competitive price.
