My HVAC broke twice over the last two months. The 2nd time I called the Chicago Hvac Repair Doctor and couldn't be happier. I got a text when they were on the way. They were clear communicating the issue and the cost to repair it. It was also easy to pay by credit card at the end. I highly recommend them!

I have used Chicago HVAC Repair Doctor over the last 3 years and the service has been fantastic. Erick was the technician who helped me out. On time, well prepared and thorough in his analysis and explanation. Very happy with the service. Looking to replace the entire heating / cooling system in a couple of months and Erick explained how to proceed, the kind of equipment I should use, approx cost range, timing for replacement etc. very clearly. I recommend using their services.

We had a loud bang coming from our furnace and we were scared it was dangerous. I called and within 25 minutes dispatch had someone at our home. Alen our technician found the problem and made repairs within 20 minutes. I would never call anyone else to do our furnace. I have been using Chicago Hvac Repair Doctor for 4 years. They are the best !

Overall: Efficient and friendly service is the highlight for a successful heater replacement.

The good: Incredibly fast and friendly service. Had a broken heater that needed replacing after 15 years and after the initial assessment, they were finished midday the next day. It was a cold few nights, but the new heater works great and they left without much mess at all. The prices seem reasonable enough for the Chicago-land area, and all the taxes and services are included in the final quote. Heater works fantastically!

The not-so-good: (updated below) Was pressured into taking their “discounts” on service/installation. As great of deals as they were, I could hardly take the time to call my fiancée, let alone wait a day or two to get back to the (it was a “at-this-moment” offer, they wouldn’t let me wait a day). It was concerning to be put in that position, but the price seemed right and the service was friendly. Additionally, they had to take out my Nest unit after it failed to communicate with the new heater. While I understand that this fix may be necessary, I now have a defect in my wall that I have to spend time patching up on my own.

UPDATE: After this review was posted the owner reached out to me personally explaining that the discount pressure is not how they run their business. She apologized and graciously offered reimbursement, which was much appreciated.

I called during off hours and left a message to get our HVAC maintenance scheduled. Someone called back the next business day and was able to book us for maintenance the following day. Erick showed up exactly at the middle of the estimated window and had shoe covers etc. He was professional, skilled, and answered all of our questions. I’m planning to use them again for future needs and would recommend their services based on my experience.

We were extremely pleased with our experience with Chicago HVAC Repair Doctor. Our water heater was just not getting as hot as it used to. Erick came out on a Saturday morning to take a look. A failed temperature sensor is what was causing the issue. The part itself was serviceable but since we have only been in the house a year we had no idea how old the water heater was. Erick took the time to look up the info and inform us it was just about 10 years old. He gave us the average lifespan of a water heater and the benefits of replacement versus repair and left the decision up to us. There was no pressure or pushiness to replace the unit instead of repair. Based on his knowledge and expertise we made the choice to replace. Their schedule was packed and next available appointment was 3 weeks away. Not the end of the world as we still had warm water coming out of the tank. Not knowing how long that would last and seeing I had a little one at home Erick offered to do an after hours install. By Thursday evening a new water heater was installed and hot water pumping through the house. Chicago HVAC Repair Doctor has a customer for life!

Alan was our tech and he was really great. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He offered a few tips to help solve problems we were having outside of what he was fixing.

I would highly recommend requesting him.

We had Gerardo as our tech and he was very professional and wonderful! He detected a leak coming from our upstairs neighbor's hot water heater. Very polite and thorough. Job well done. We will be using Chicago HVAC Repair Doctor, Inc in the future.

Could not have had a better experience with this team. Spoke with Erica and Jasmin on the phone, each of whom were helpful and kind. Alan arrived right on time. He quickly diagnosed the problem and then gave me options for repairs, etc. He thoroughly explained the work he would be doing, keeping me informed at every step. He was courteous, informative, and swift. Have already recommended this business to a friend who needs HVAC work.

Joshua and Christian were respectful and thorough. They went above and beyond in diagnosing the issue, resolving and explaining how to best maintain.
