James and CJ came out for routine maintenance on my furnace and did everything wonderfully and were very personable and friendly. I mentioned my dryer vent needing fixed expecting to schedule something and they fixed it right then and there. They went above and beyond! They also set me up to get a new water heater and the process was very quick and simple.

Aidan was friendly, courteous, and conscientious when he came to service my furnace. He wore booties to prevent tracking leaves, snow, and mud into my home. He called to say he was on his way and, once he arrived, told me how long the visit would probably take and what to expect.

Their service technicians show up on time, are personable and professional, and do competent work. Our AC suddenly stopped working on a warm Friday night. We called Chief/Bauer Saturday morning and they had a technician at our door an hour later. Kyle was very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. He found the issue to be a bad capacitor on the outside AC unit and promptly replaced it. My only complaint, making this a 4-star review instead of 5, is the cost for this service seems quite high.

It was roughly $250 just to have a tech come out on a Saturday and the total ended up being roughly $500 to replace the capacitor. They try to convince you they're giving you a better deal by offering an annual membership but the grand total is only about $20 less with it. You do get two free maintenance visits and 15% off future parts and labor, so that is a nice perk. I didn't question the cost of the part being $300 when Kyle showed me the estimate but after googling it, apparently capacitors are only a $20 part. I understand you're paying for professional diagnostic and labor too, but it still seems high.

If it wasn't 90 degrees outside today, I would've shopped this service around more diligently but I want to sleep comfortably tonight. For what it's worth, I also called Lanz this morning and they never even called me back to have a tech come out.

Chief Bauer has consistently provided excellent service for my heating and cooling needs. Scott and Mark explained the inspection thoroughly, and both were super friendly! I would definitely recommend them.
