Chief/Bauer Service Experts

I Googled who to call about a possible gas leak and Chief Bauer was there to answer the call. Jacob and Mike were at the door within the hour. Very respectful; appreciated that they covered their shoes before coming in.
Professional and courteous but most importantly they found the leak and had it fixed within 45 minutes.
Overall great experience and would definitely recommend not only the company but also Jacob and Mike.
Could not be happier with the service today.

Take out a loan before they come! CRAZY RIDICULOUS HIGH RATES!! I had them remove a faucet and garbage disposal so I could have granite installed. This call was $79. Reasonable. I contacted them to come back and install a faucet I provided and reinstall disposal and drainage plumbing. Since they would be there had a couple of shower heads I provided I wanted installed. Gave me an estimate before they started - thank God - so I could eliminate the shower head installation ($340) and cleaning bathtub drain ($500). Thanks, I'll buy some more Draino! I was stuck with no sink and live out of town so was trapped (and they knew it) so paid $900+ to get the faucet and plumbing hooked back up. I will never recommend or use them again. Except if I have a problem with their work as they generously pointed out I have a warranty for 1 year. Great and I also am out about $600 more than I should be for that work! Stay away!

The people at Chief/Bauer saved us from a sure to be sweltering summer of suffering! Our AC unit and furnace went down and with them being 32 years old, we needed new equipment installed. They had someone out to inspect the issue on Tuesday (5/30/23) and had an amazing crew including Mark and Josh out the very next day (5/31/23)! We cannot thank them enough for the speedy and friendly service they provided! They are an absolute top tier company and everyone involved deserves 5 gold stars and more!

We have used Chief Bauer for MANY services and have been extremely happy with their techs, service, and products. Mike installed the new furnace and has come back for the free filters and maintenance every 6 months. We also asked about vent cleaning as our new home had been previously rented out for a number of years. We were pleasantly surprised when their quote was thousands of dollars cheaper than another vent cleaning business. James & Ethan were professional, answered all our questions, and did an excellent job.They showed us all the dirt and dust that was in our vents and we hope to have less dust and allergens in our home and air. We highly recommend Chief Bauer!

Sean K. came out to address some plumbing issues and provided timely, professional, quality service. Truly an expert in the field and explained everything in detail about what was needed, pricing, etc. After he performed the work, he checked everything over several times before he left. He was also so kind to my dog who demands attention from everyone! Sean K., office staff, and team, keep up the excellent work.

I recently had my boiler heat go out (in retrospect, maybe caused by a small power surge? who's to say) and tried my hand at troubleshooting myself, but ultimately called up Chief/Bauer and they had someone come out very quickly. I talked the service person (shout out to Michael B.!) through the issue and what I had tried so far. He found the true culprit after a couple of rounds of troubleshooting and he got parts ordered quickly so that we could have them overnighted and I wouldn't be without heat any longer than I had to be. I was back up and running the next day! I can be stubborn trying to fix things myself, but if I hadn't called, I would have been without power for a week and learning low voltage circuit design, yada yada yada. In the end, the price was very reasonable for the work done, Michael was great to work with, and I'm very glad I called!

I had Chief Bauer called out Friday night due to no AC. The techs were very nice, but were here less than 10 minutes to tell me I needed a full replacement of my HVAC system ranging from 14-22k. I asked about any repairs and they said that’d be in the several thousand range/not worth given the age. That’s understandable. I called another company Saturday morning. They were able to provide me a very reasonably priced temporary solution(also found 2 things wrong, not just the 1 Chief Bauer found), a quote for a top of the line new HE HVAC system with financing for less than the starting price (baseline package) of Chief Bauer. The techs said I’d have quotes for the repair option and fully replace options Friday night or Saturday. I still have not gotten them, and have since went with the honest, reliable company I called on Saturday. Personally feel I should be refunded the “service” and “diagnostic” fee from Chief Bauer.

My second time having a tune up on my HVAC. Scott the technician was incredibly kind and professional. I used Chief Bauer last year in a furnace emergency when my regular business (and installer of a 2 year old furnace) could not provide a timely service. I liked being able to schedule online and get a confirmation within hours of my preferred time. Based on the quality of that emergency service, I signed up for the maintenance program which offers great value for tune ups on furnace and a/c as well as discounts on repairs and new systems-- I have a very old water heater so I anticipate needing this. But my most recent service was exceptional, a tune up on my furnace, and a detailed estimate for cost of a new water heater (with options), and suggestions for additional equipment to improve air quality and efficiency. There were no high pressure tactics and I didn't in fact take any of these suggested, but I appreciated knowing about them and having a written plan so I could research more about them. I appreciated the friendliness and efficiency of the technician, who was very knowledgeable and respectful-- unlike some who talk down to women like we couldn't possibly make a good decision about a man. I also liked how they put booties over their feet and went over everything they did after the service. Terrific service, couldn't be better.
