Absolutely outrage price quotes for AC and furnace repair that I later found wasn’t even needed. I looked up the average price for the repairs I was told we’re needed right away and it was 1/3 of their cost so I started calling around and was quickly told how they always say repairs need done and gauge you with their outrageous price. I found someone reliable and truthful and am so so glad I didn’t just take their word. Look up stuff for yourself and find out pricing averages before you even consider using these guys. Despicable!!!!

I have been a customer with A=1 for almost 30 years. I had a new AC installed in July of 2020. It has never cooled my house. I had technicians out 3 times since the installation. Twice for my yearly maintenance and once for an issue. Each time, I explained that the unit would not cool my house to 72. 75 was the lowest I could get, and it was running continually. Each time, I was just told that is the way it is. My 25 year old AC worked better than this one. I decided I would use A-1 one more time for my maintenance if there is no satisfaction. I would change companies. Greg Fry came to my home. He listened to everything I said and agreed that wasn't correct. He jumped in to resolve the issue and found the problem. He has also given me his number to call if it doesn't work. Greg Fry is a super star. Greg saved A-1, a long-time customer. He deserves big kudos

After getting jerked around by another company I contacted A1 Heating and Cooling. Superior service! They even looked into the warranty on my smart thermostat that was installed with the system by another company 5 yrs ago. That thermostat failed and was replaced with a standard thermostat. Found out it was covered under the warranty and they replaced it within 3 days (have to account for the ship time of the thermostat). I have been using A1 for HVAC maintenance and will utilize them for plumbing or electrical projects I'm that happy with their outstanding service!

We had an air conditioner that was completely unresponsive. We tried everything but only the furnace fan would kick on which is completely useless against 80 degree nights - we were dying and it’s not even July!!! Fear not A-1 sent Greg Fry their number one guy over. He figured out in about 10 seconds the capacitor was shot on the unit, and had it replaced and blowing 45 degree air in less than five minutes. He could have just left right then, but in Greg’s form he made sure everything was dialed before rolling off into the Boise sunset… We changed the air filter, and he showed us how the wall unit works and left with a big smile. Give that guy a raise he is the walking embodiment of friendly customer service. I’m now not sitting shirtless on my couch sweating wondering why I chose to live here.

Response time was pretty amazing. I did this through Costco, and A-1 does their installations. Tom was quick to meet with us and didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need. He answered any questions we had, at times after business hours. Ricca handled the scheduling and financials. She was great to work with and helped us through the process in a timely and professional manner. The installation crew were on time and did a great job with the installation. Looks much better than the old unit, performs better, and passed county inspection in a few minutes. I really appreciate a business that combines all of the above. Great work.

Victor was on time, courteous, and knowledgeable. He took time to walk me through each step of the process and helped me understand several important elements about our new equipment.

Great customer service from getting the bid through install. I had a ductless heater and ac installed and they did it very quickly and efficiently. It also works great. We love it. We will use A1 again in the future.

After purchasing my home over a year ago, I selected A1 Heating Air Conditioning
& Electric to provide general service to my HVAC system upon reading their many great reviews. My experience was like many others with this long established business; terrific! Upon requesting my service, an appointment was quickly scheduled. I was sent reminders and Casey called when en route. Casey was professional, knowledgeable, approachable and easily answered any question I had. Albeit my house remodeled, my HVAC system is getting a bit dated and despite its age, Casey knew all about it, made recommendations for maintaining, and kindly approached the topic of eventual replacement as the system definitely will not last forever. Casey offered A1’s services for my plans to eventually replace in a way that didn’t pressure me into any one sort of decision on the spot. Casey inspected the system, tested, and left me feeling confident in the work he did. I look forward to keeping A1 as my HVAC maintenance team.

Jason was just here to fix the noise after our maintenance check-up last week. The pump went out and he has us back up and running within half an hour! He had to replace the pump as it broke, not his fault, and get it restarted and he was done! He was also very courteous and patient with me because I was agitated! I wouldn't mind having him take care of our furnace every time, and ac, but I know it is a first come, first serve operation as they are all trained to all systems. But, thank you for sending him and having him do my repairs!
Jason is with A-1 heating and AC. This is the 2nd call in a week for our furnace, the first one being the tune-up, and the second to replace a part that he is not even required. So, I wanted to share my experience with him, getting back in less than a week and getting the pump repaired and the furnace operating as smoothly and even quieter than before. Because he was just here for the service call, I was not charged for a second call and got a great price on the pump. He was so great and nice, and very respectful the whole time, while I was doing my usual ranting ( but I am truly getting better). I would recommend this group to anyone. Been using them for at least 5 years, hope they stay around to keep us up and running, heat and a/c!!

Tim was the tech on call and I don’t have enough positive words to describe his professionalism. We’ve had service calls (at least 3) for the same issue, with the same fix. Tim went above and beyond and replaced the part instead of just cleaning it. From the call to Tim being at the house was less than 15 min. All the employees are great but Tim was fantastic.
