They replaced my old furnace, zoning controls, humidifier and 2 thermostats and from the start when I asked for a proposal until completion, they have been professional, responsive and thorough. Vin and Fred completed the work yesterday as scheduled and were helpful explaining the new equipment. Doing the work at a competitive price was a plus!

We have combi boilers in our building. One unit kept malfunctioning. We had two different companies “fix it” that fix lasted 24 hours. We heard of Tyler thru other property managers and called them in Desperation as the tenant was very upset. They were great, did more than basic system checks, actually checked the diagnostics of the system and discovered a not very obvious problem. They fixed it in an hour and took the time to explain it to me so I can look out for it in our other units. My experience was great

I contacted them based on their reviews and was pleased to have an appointment the following week. The backstory: I purchased a home during the fall of last year and noticed one room was considerably colder in the office and have a 1 zone system. In the spring, I had the entire house insulated but wanted them to diagnose why there was poor air flow in that room (you could feel it wasn't blowing strong).

When I had the home energy audit done, the techs found that the duct was blowing into the wall and suggested I call an HVAC company and have them replace the hard metal duct with the flexible duct like the rest of the system used.

When I called Tyler HVAC, I agreed to their diagnostic fee to have a tech come out but, after an hour, the tech had no more suggestions than what I knew already. He had me close some ducts in other areas of the house and said with a 1 zone system, that was the best it could get. I asked him to provide a quote to replace the duct with the flexible duct and he said the office would get back to me. While he was nice, he didn't seem too knowledgeable in my system or in suggestions. When he was finishing up, he said because he didn't install anything, I was told the visit would be $330 for the labor + diagnostic fee. I couldn't believe it. $170 for him to come and the rest for him to open/close some vents? Unreal.

As of this writing, I never received an invoice from my initial visit which was supposed to come through email nor has anyone contacted me regarding the quote for the work (it's been 3 weeks). I ended up calling a handyman who replaced the duct work for $58 in materials and his one hour labor charge. Very disappointed with Tyler's services. $330 is just not acceptable, especially when nothing was done.

Fred and Patrick were our installers for a new AC/Heat system in our older house. They were incredibly conscientious, punctual, and aware of the disruption this type of project involves. There were a couple glitches: one due to the nature of our deteriorating plaster which in 2 places crumbled when they were installing air vents in the ceiling and one involving a mistake in what they were given & brought to install. They handled both well and although I have to finish the second coat of compound around 2 of the vents & sand it to paint, they did fill the large space of crumbled plaster in on the spot.
Overall, we are very pleased with the work they did and would definitely recommend both them as installers and Tyler, the company they work for.

This was one of the most professional businesses I have dealt with. From the initial quote to the install, I have never worked with a better company. I would recommend this business to anyone and everyone.

Edit: It's been almost a year since my first review and we used them a second time, this time to install a ductless system. It was one of the hottest days so far and even in the heat Pat and Fred were great with the install, extremely professional and prompt. Cinda was there, as always, to answer questions and help with paperwork and scheduling. I recommend this company to anyone that needs AC or Heat. They are a great company.

Surpassed all expectations!!! Tyler Heating, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration LLC came out Wednesday and Thursday last week to install our ductless AC units. We were told an 8-10 AM arrival window and they were here by five after 8, very punctual! The entire team was extremely respectful of the house, laying tarps on the carpets, wearing plastic booties over their shoes and wore their masks the whole time. They put in a 10 hour day on day one, almost the same amount the next day, super impressive, even our dog was comfortable around them and she's a very good judge of character! :) Everything was explained during the installation process, all questions were answered, and the job was very thorough! Very good price as well! I would definitely recommend them to family and friends in the future!!

Vin, Fred, and the entire team were great from the beginning. They made it a point to make sure their work area was organized and cleaned at the end of the day and were friendly and communicated throughout the day as I asked questions. The install looks and works great and would recommend to friends/family.

Pat and Fred were very professional, kept us informed through the installation process and were timely. I've been impressed with the Tyler Heating group so far when I was going through my decision making process. You can tell they care about customer service and realize the value and karma they create by taking care of their customers from a service perspective. They also have a lot of experience with ducted heat pumps which is a big plus.

Tyler Heating and AC is a terrific place to work with, I had the pleasure of working with Don, Vincent and Fred. All 3 guys were extremely knowledgeable about their craft. Don helped me navigate a more complex landscape than I expected and I am very please with the system I installed. In 6 days, Vincent and Fred installed the system working with us the whole time. They stopped to explain what they were doing and walked us through any questions. The craftmanship of the duct wok is outstanding. They always left their work site very tidy. I hired Tyler Heating and Air Conditioning to install a new gas boiler and hot water tank to replace my old oil furnace. From the time I met Jeff Lane who came out to quote my job I knew I was in good hands. I had five other companies come out and quote the job but none were as thorough and competitively priced as Tyler. Jeff listened to what I wanted and didn’t try to sell me on a more expensive system. Cynda from the office walked me through the process of scheduling the job and coordinating it with the gas company. She is pleasant to deal with and very thorough. When the installation day came I met my installation crew: Vinny, Fred and Steve. The first thing they did was inspect my current oil system and then put down tarp runners on all my stairs and hallway. They disassembled my furnace and started setting up for the new system. They worked well as a team and made my experience with the installation a pleasant one. Day two was interesting as my oil tank was pumped out and removed by a contractor that they use. By 2:30 on day two I was up and running. They went through the system to make sure everything was running and working well. They explained the system to me and what I needed to know about it. Before leaving they cleaned up everything and left my place like it was when they walked in. Kudos to the Tyler team. I would recommend them to anyone......Bob Kepchar
