We started to experience issues with our baseboard heating system on the weekend. Homestead responded very quickly and attempted to help us over the phone to avoid the need to pay an emergency service fee. When we couldn't work around it via a phone conversation, they came out after 9:00 PM on a Saturday and were highly professional and efficient.

Once the core problem had been determined, they were able to get us up and running and scheduled a follow-up for the following Monday.

When they returned for the follow-up, they were able to further diagnose the issue and recommend not only the appropriate remediation, but also to help us avoid the issue going forward.

Absolutely recommend for their knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to help.

I have used Homestead for a number of years. They recently converted hot water oil over to natural gas and a year later just had them put in Ductless mini splits. I also use them to insulate my basement ceiling as part of an energy audit program. In all cases they were very professional, on time, and when there was an issue they were extremely responsive. I would highly recommend them. Their prices were competitive, and their sales person was informative and not pushy. They had a schedule delay in installing my ductless air conditioning system, and loaned me a window air conditioner to bridge the two week gap including putting it in and taking it out! What more could you ask for. You won’t go wrong with these guys :-)

We used the online feature for callback at night and received a call the next morning. We had an appointment set same day and the technician arrived on time. He immediately found the problem with our wiring that another company had charged me $400 to do and had done incorrectly. We had our heat working within an hour and he also took care of a faulty valve and bled the system. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. Very professional, got the job done right, and on time.

They are definitely reliable and always do good work! However, this time, I admit I was miffed at having to pay for two service calls, when only the second one solved the problem. Similar situation happened with the regular maintenance, so I am a bit confused about their billing structure: Sometimes they charge an hourly rate, but oftentimes they charge a flat rate, which is usually much higher than hourly. Perhaps I'm confused, but it would seem that they should always charge straight hourly. Still, they do good work, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I called to have the annual service on my water softening unit which was installed by another company. I was sent a text that the technician was on his way. He was very knowledgeable about the system and spoke with me about his service and reviewed the operation of the systems operation.

Tech came out the same day I called, which was a Friday before a holiday weekend. Much better service than I expected. However, it took 4 and 1/2 weeks before my ductless system was fixed, which considering the system is only a year old, I expected better. I understand there are staffing issues, supply chain issues, etc., but I am not sure those were the sole reasons it took so long to repair. Communication did improve significantly after the first 2 weeks went by with no success in getting parts.

Homestead came out and performed my energy audit in addition to looking at a possible upgrade for my home. While I did not go with Homestead for my job, they were fantastic with the audit educating me how I could improve my home. Their proposal was fair and thorough on the upgrade that we did not go with and Mike was fantastic in providing options and answering questions. Since my discussions with Homestead, I have referred multiple people to them for their professionalism and their work on the audit.
