Lion Home Service - Fort Collins

These folks were great! Water heater went out at 7 am and they had someone here by 10 and then completely installed by the next day. We had a subsequent leak that happened after install and they fixed that too. Very happy with the service! Thanks everyone!

We went to Lion for a whole house fan installation. They sized the job and did the installation for us. They also explained what the performance should be once the job was done. Short story is that the unit installed was sized wrong. It could not deliver the expected performance. Lion came out and replaced the unit with one that does - no charge to us. They made it 100% right with us. I would recommend Lion to anyone looking for a quality company to work with. They are great folks to work with, too!

Wow. Called Lion on Monday. AC out. And by Thursday I had a new AC system. Gary was great selling the system. And the installer Steven might have been the nicest service installer I’ve ever had. So polite and knowledgeable. Will recommend Lion to all our friends and neighbors. Thanks!!

It was my 4th call to try and find someone that could come and help me with a leaking outside faucet. The person who took my info was very professional, and said they could come same day. As it turned out, I got lucky and a repair person was close by. Andy Wolf did a great job on replacing the faucet, was professional and friendly, thanks for helping me out in a bind!

Great customer service, Lion was able to come by same day for an issue with my A/C, the tech was courteous, professional and all around great person. Im very impressed with Lion and I plan on doing more business with them in the future.

I would not recommend this company. Lion Home Service charges 4-5 times the market rate. We had our tankless water heater flushed (just flushed) and it cost $417. Another plumbing company does it for $149. Lion Home Service has a coupon for a water heater flush for $49 but they said that was for a traditional water tank and would not accept it. Both systems take about 1 hour and the main difference is that a tankless used a chemical to descale the system. That chemical can not cost enough to make the price $417. The company uses these type of tactics to get their foot in the door and then increase the cost. Do your home work and shop around for a better price or at least get a second opinion.

Update: Lion Home Service did honor their coupon and refund the cost of their service. I did spend a lot of time discussing this issue with their service manager and they were not responsive until I filed this review with a one star rating. I do feel that the person who serviced our tankless system should have at least advised us to get the fan cleaned or replaced. He stood next to me and we discussed how loud the fan is and that the system needed to be replaced; but not cleaned. I cleaned the fan myself and it is so much quieter.

I did raise my rating from one star to a two star due to the refund.

I had a severe water leak and called to have Lion come out and repair the leak. They told me there was a $27 trip fee and that they would come out and give me a detailed estimate on how much it would cost to repair. The guy came out here would not even look at the leak until I agreed and signed a contract to pay him $225 to diagnose the problem even though he was standing right next to it. He then called his supervisor and he quoted me almost $13,000 because they had to re-pipe my entire house. Meantime, hundreds of gallons of water are gushing out of this pipe under my house. Then both people left with the water still gushing . I can’t afford $13,000.
I ended up paying almost $300 just to have them come out and walk around my yard and take a couple pictures. No repairs were done!! They’ll tell you $27 for them to come out which you think is a great deal until they get there and tell you they won’t even look at your problem till you give them an additional $225.

Gary was able to come out the same day as our request and take a look at our system. He thoroughly explained the problems and offered a few different options and talked through the pros and cons of each. He made sure to understand the entirety of our individual situation and made his recommendation. Nick and Zac came out to install the new unit the same day and they were super friendly and respectful. We are super happy with our service!!!

Joe and Joe came to our newly purchased home for some crazy electrical work that was putting our family in danger. They identified the problems and alerted us to some things that were missed in our home inspection, have been upgrading our systems at our request, and have been thorough and professional. They have both gone above and beyond, as have the other employees at Lion who have been on the phone with us and at our home. This is an exceptional company who we are extremely lucky to have in our corner. We feel much better about our house since Lion has been servicing it, and will continue to use their services. No other company in this area has treated us this well, or have responded as quickly. When we brought the problems to this company, they took them on as if they were their problems too, and didn’t leave us until things were resolved. Thank you all so much!!

Had a great experience with Lion Home Service. After uncovering a strange plumbing issue (air bubbles in all faucets and in tanks of toilets), they were able to work me in on their Saturday schedule. My service provider was able to quickly diagnose the issue and found that my expansion tank and pressure valve had failed on my hot water heater. He had the replacement parts available in his truck, quickly repaired, and tested every faucet and toilet in the house. Problem immediately resolved! I highly recommend this team and will definitely use them again.
