Reliable Heating & Cooling

Kyle is so awesome! We had an issue over the weekend but he talked us through it and came today to service it. Him and Ben had installed it 3 years ago. Becky is awesome on the phone and very courteous!

We have been using Reliable H&C for nearly five years since we moved into the area. All of their techs are knowledgeable, personable, on time, and thorough. Becky is the company's administrator and is the point of contact for making appointments and other communications. Always friendly and accommodating.

Our furnace became unreliable on the windy days we experienced last winter, shutting down unexpectedly, apparently due to backdrafts or other issues. After troubleshooting the problem, we agreed that "easter-egging" the problem to fix it would probably be more expense that it was worth to restore this 18-year-old heating system. At _my_ request, we reviewed the options for replacing the entire HVAC system. Kyle informed me that in 2023, the new SEER regulations would kick in and make repairing R-22 refrigerant systems much more expensive. I decided that, from an economic and environmental perspective, it would make sense to replace everything with a high-efficiency system. The company provided three different cost estimates to choose from.

Kyle and Mark did the installation. They did everything they could to keep the house and workspace clean as they worked over a two-day period in our wet-clay crawlspace. They communicated everything they were doing, allowed me to observe their work, answered all my questions, and kept us informed of their progress. We are very satisfied with the company's service and highly recommend them for any HVAC repair or installation. The company can offer their own financing—and be sure to discuss payment options for the best deal possible!

Reliable was contacted by our home warranty company when our furnace blower failed. They came out, made a temporary fix and we contracted to purchase the new furnace from them. Finally last week they installed the furnace and the first night the heat didn't work, yes with a brand new furnace, so they showed up the next day to make adjustments. The initial crew couldn't solve the problem then another technician came out to correct the problem including a gas leak.
The furnace requires a different size of filter which wasn't supplied with the furnace and a very uncommon size. Maybe a good service to a new customer would be to plan this as an item to now worry the customer.
Funny you get a new furnace and it doesn't work, one tech can't fix then another that got it running assures me it will perform as it should brand new.
Today an inspection was performed for the furnace and there is a gas leak and an issue with the ventilation set up.
Disappointing and I hope this gets resolved.
Update! Nick showed up with Kyle and shared some knowledge with me. The issue with the furnace was from the manufacturer and authorization had to be granted to repair the misaligned gasket inside.
Also, the small new gas line was defective, not the fault of Reliable either, just one of those things.
And the ventilation set up is fine but the inspector has not experienced this specific type or brand fitment in relation to our existing ventilation.
Nick and Kyle also went in to extreme detail regarding stabilization of temperature and their high level of knowledge is evident.
Sometimes situations occur where things seem disappointing and I want to say all is awesome!

One word describes Reliable Heating & Cooling... EXCEPTIONAL!! Our furnace stopped working a day before a forecasted snow storm. Our home warranty place referred us to Reliable Heating & Cooling. Within 10 minutes of calling our home warranty place, Becky from Reliable called to schedule a same day appointment. Becky was very friendly and understanding of our situation. Kyle, who came to our house, was super nice, diagnosed the problem immediately and explained everything. He fixed it within 30 minutes. I would highly recommend Reliable Heating & Cooling! I've put off writing this review because I wanted to be completely confidant that the service & product received would be every bit as outstanding one year later as it was on day 1, which was May of 2019.

Our house did not come with A/C, and after a season of sweltering heat the first summer, we knew that we needed to have it installed. I called 3 different companies - Olsen, Wright, & Reliable. Reliable was the ONLY one of the 3 companies to bother returning my phone call/answering e-mails, and did so immediately!

From the moment I scheduled the estimate, I was treated with respect & consideration. Nick was extremely professional & provided a wealth of information in response to my questions. He was also quick to follow up with me & provide the estimate for the work that we wanted done, the cost of which, we found, was quite reasonable.

Nick & the rest of his team took care of everything that needed to be done in terms of permits, etc. They arrived not only on time, but a bit early, which was very impressive. I had a house full of company when they arrived, and were very patient & respectful with them. They also took great care to not only respect my property, but to also keep it clean & tidy. At the end of the day, the work that was performed was top-notch & stress-free, and we couldn't have asked for better! (And this past winter, when we had an issue with our furnace, Reliable was our ONLY call to come out & take care of it, and Ben did so with exactly the same level of professionalism & courtesy.)

This is truly one of the best businesses I have ever interacted with. Our furnace started acting up a few days after we purchased our home and they were quick to respond. Ben did an awesome job fixing the issue.
Fast forward a few months and on the coldest day of the year, our furnace gave up all together. Nick came out at 9pm to check out what was going on and found it was beyond repair. He helped us with our warranty claim and then he and Ben installed our new furnace THE NEXT DAY! Throughout the entire process they made us feel at ease and thoroughly answered every question we had. They are incredibly caring and down to earth but they also know their stuff. I can't recommend them enough! Thank you Nick, Ben, and Afton for everything!

Contacted Realiable Heating and AC for a annual Furnace Checkup before the fall rush for servicing and cleaning. Spoke with Becky to schedule an appointment. Becky was able to schedule a servicing, cleaning and checkup within two weeks. Kyle contacted me day of the scheduled appointment. Kyle was right on time for the 1:00 PM appointment. Kyle was courteous, friendly, technically detailed and professional during his thorough checkup of my furnace system. He took extra effort in his explanation of the furnace checkup and servicing. I can without hesitation recommend Reliable Heating and AC based upon my multiple and personable experience's with Afton, Becky, Kyle and Nick. For this year's service checkup... Becky and Kyle were awesome 👍. Heating and AC was the Company which was the HVAC Company that was referred by my Home Warranty Company. Afton contacted me to set up a time convenient for my tenants to inspect and troubleshoot the AC Unit not cooling properly. She was very courteous, friendly and professional. Nick was dispatched to the property in Woodland Park. Nick located the problem directly (Capacitors were shot) from the continuous cycling off and on of the compressor and fan, due to the lack of refrigerant (R22). He also observed that the the contactor had seen better days..But the Home Warranty Company, wouldn't approve the additional maintenance to change the contactor... Regardless, Nick took care of the original issue (Capacitors). Nick contacted me a few days later, and "thoroughly" provided a explanation of the"bigger" issue that the AC unit required additional refrigerant and sealant to extend the life of the almost 15 year old AC Unit. Nick knows his job well. He provided a an option to capture the R22 refrigerant and replace with the newer approved refrigerant and the sealant which has great results in sealing previously leaking AC Systems. Nick accomplished the repairs and servicing with a detailed review of his actions...Very pleased with the conversations with Nick and Afton... Going forward Reliable Heating and AC will be the HVAC Company I will contact for seasonal inspection and servicing for my property and future retirement home in Woodland Park. Thank you! Our furnace igniter went out overnight. I called at 8 am on Saturday and Chad had us back up and running by 1 pm. He was very professional and definitely had our best interest in mind throughout the repair. I highly recommend this local company over other companies (especially WireNut who we had an awful experience with in the past).

Swamp cooler maintenance Ben was on time, efficient, courteous and did a great job.

We had a great experience working with Reliable Heating & Cooling, from the initial proposal through the completion of the work. Kyle worked on the proposal, performing a thorough walkthrough and providing various options on how to handle the venting for the high efficiency furnace. He also provided options to move our existing or buy a new air conditioner. We were very impressed with his thoroughness during the proposal process.

We decided to have a new high efficiency furnace and new air conditioner installed. In addition, an issue with our humidifier was identified during the initial work and this was also fixed. Kyle, Ben, Mark, and Dave performed all of the work in a professional manner and were also very personable. They worked very hard to complete the various work activities.
