David came out to look at heater that was working intermittently. I think he suggested replacing the heater as it was old. But it works. He then suggested thermostat replacement, $423 each, said he did not know what the unit cost itself; I looked it up, $75. So, I replaced the batteries and it seems to be working.

Diagnosis was unclear and felt like I was being upsold.

Chris was timely and thorough. In addition to inspecting and cleaning out impediments to efficient function of our older furnace, he documented and showed me items that were wearing out and in need of replacement and estimated costs. He helped schedule follow up visit for bids to make comparison with full furnace replacement.

I highly recommend this company. It's so refreshing to experience great customer service again. So many companies are failing in this.

John Owens was 1 of about 4 companies I called late on a Friday afternoon when our local temps hit over 100 the first time this season and our A/C stopped working. They had the earliest availability but also good reviews already which I use as a guideline.

Mercedes answered the phone even though I called 5 minutes before closing and was very patient and helpful with my questions. Cody showed up on-time on Monday and was also good at explaining what he was doing and what was wrong (the capacitor quit). He's knowledgeable and genuine.. the real deal. No hard sell to replace our 10 yr old unit which another company had pushed during a maintenance check the year before. Good value--I looked up capacitor replacement prior to his arrival as I thought that could be the issue and they were in range for the replacement cost.

I'm so glad I have this company to call on for any future issues, knowing I'll receive honest and quality work.

Our heater decided not to work. 39 last night! We called and got an appointment for 2 days later. Chris was our repair man. Neatly dresses, friendly and knowledgeable. Parts our on order. Very satisfied so far.

Really glad we called John Owens for a second opinion on our furnace repair! Chris was awesome, fixed a couple minor issues that other techs didn’t catch and saved us $1000 fixing something that wasn’t even the problem. Highly recommended!

David was on time, friendly, very skilled in his work and now the AC is working fine!

Had Chris out to install a few dampers to make the home more comfortable. He did a great job and the airflow is much better. We are happy with the results. He is clean, courteous and reasonable. If/when we need more work, we would request him.

We had an HVAC system installed in a 1982 era house that was previously heated with baseboard heaters and a wood stove. After John Owens installed our new system we have a perfectly heated home.

We have been a John Owens Services customer for years, living in an Eichler in Lucas Valley. We were always happy with their work. We recently moved into a new house, one that has an attic, an air conditioner, and central heating. We had none of these things before so it was all new to us. We have very good insulation, but on one very hot day we turned on the air condition only to find it didn’t seem to cool the house down at all. We called John Owens and technician Chris Ostrom-Juvencio came out to take a look and perform some minor tune-ups. We think he did a fabulous job. He took lots of photos and notes, and walked us through the systems and some of the issues. He presented us with lots of options, and didn’t push us in any particular direction - instead he described the pros and cons of each solution. For now, we’re sitting tight. But we know when the time comes to repair or replace any of our systems, we will be contacting John Owens - just as we have in the past.

David and the Team were great. Super personable and knowledgeable. I'd recommend them to anyone!
