RKM Heating and Air Conditioning

I’ve used RKM ever since moving into my condo 3 years ago. The first time I brought them out, my A/C unit would go on, then shut off, and continued constantly. The engineer who came on sight found that it was a busted temperature gauge on the unit and also that the lines needed cleaning. Having not known how the previous owners maintained the unit, I felt that I needed to do it to have ease of mind. They got the work done, and even saved me some money at the end. Totally top notch work and the unit has been steady since. I went ahead and got their yearly service plan so that they come out and check the unit and replace the filter for ease of mind. You don’t want to be stuck on a hot day without A/C and then have to wait 3-4 weeks because they are booked! Every time they come I get a full report of what was checked and I feel confident in their work.

The technician was very helpful on explaining me the issue and diagnosis. Provided me options for rebates and maintenance. Very friendly and I like that he didn’t rushed to do the service. I would definitely call for service again and I recommend them.

Highly recommend RKM for heating and AC. They don't push you to into one band as most contractors do an provide very affordable systems. I got quotes from 4 contractors ranging from 18.5K to 11.5K. RKM provided the best value with new heater, AC, ducting, attic insulation and 10yr warranty on parts and service. Very professional and don't nickel & dime you when issues arise. 5 star operation even after it is installed. My neighbor got his system at the same time and paid 4k more, 3 years later his system broke down on a hot Saturday they told $100 for every 15 min for emergency service. What crooks the cheap pump the installed crapped out, charged $500 to install a better pump.

We have been using RKM for several years and always have very honest, reasonable and efficient service. Our AC wasn't working a couple weeks ago and Peter came out and diagnosed a freon leak, which, unfortunately, was not repairable. He was able to give me a quote within moments and set up the appointment for later in the week. On Friday, Adrian and Paul came to install our new unit and did a great job explaining everything and worked very efficiently. Finally, Matthew was out just yesterday for a dryer vent cleaning (we had never had it done). All technicians that we've had are very friendly, personable, informative and very professional. I especially like the email quotes, invoices and receipts, as they attach pictures of the whole process. Overall, this company is very honest, efficient and professional. I will not use anyone else.

Ron was the technician who came to diagnose the issue with our airflow and he was able to detect it quickly we didn’t end up having to pay so much money to do unnecessary work. We are lucky and happy to deal with an honest and efficient company with good ethics and expertise! We will be sticking with RKM for our ac/heating needs. Thanks Ron!

Matthew and Rudy from RKM arrived at my home promptly. They were courteous and professional. They identified issues and provided information so that I could make an informed decision about how to resolve these issues in a cost-effective manner. They did not talk down to me or pressure me. They did a great job cleaning out my dryer vent and giving my air conditioning unit a long overdue tune-up. I joined their Comfort Club, and received a good discount from it. You can't live in Southern California without air conditioning so I am happy to have found these guys and have them on my side! I would highly recommended them!

I just hired RKM to install a new heating and air conditioning system, and installation is scheduled for this Tuesday. I will write more after the work is completed, but my initial impression is very positive. Robert took the time to completely understand our needs and put together a custom design that was itemized. We made adjustments to get the best value for our budget, and we are looking forward to having a new system.

After having an unresponsive thermostat for approximately 7 days. I found RKM via Google and called them. Robert showed up promptly, inspected the thermostat, recommended solutions, and completed a quality install of a new thermostat. I recently had a heater/wall mounted furnace units die on me, stranding my tenants without heat. I contacted several companies and the quickest to respond was RKM. They came out, assessed the unit, and felt like replacement was the best choice. Two days later they installed the new unit and it works incredibly well. Then, just this week, I had another heater go out. I called RKM and they had a technician at the residence THAT DAY! They are installing the new heater now, and I an sooooo thankful. They do great work!

I can now see why so many people gave such high reviews and I want to add to the growing fan base. First off the people who answer the phone are always pleasant like Alicia and Daniel, who are happy to help with any questions or concerns. Second the senior technicians like Richard and Ron seem to love the job they do by their thoroughness and detail to the work. Yesterday we got a whole new system (A/C and Furnace) installed in one day! The professional coordination of this huge undertaking really shows when the RKM install team Ron, Julio and Brian came in with their drop cloths, face mask and their expertise. They were also detailed in showing the finished work and how to operate our new system. Today I woke up well rested because my sons are not waking up with asthma attacks. Thank you so much!
