My A/C stopped working last week and warranty company assigned this company. After reading the reviews I was worried about their service but technician came within the time slot the gave (got 2 calls, one 1 hr before ETA and another 15 mins before). As we suspected it was blown capacitor and he replaced it quickly.
I am not someone who writes reviews but this company is a scam. We utilized our home warranty and they said it had to be this company. I attempted to tell the service tech what the issue was due to we had a close friend come over and diagnosed the problem. The service tech claimed that was not the issue that it was something else. We had to pay over 1733.00 out of pocket and almost 1000$ dollars was supposed to be testing they were supposed to conduct after the completion of fixing the problem. They never did any testing and it still didn't fix the problem. South Placer was even supposed to have a third party come out and conduct a test making sure everything was done properly. Guess what? No 3rd party ever called or showed up when they were supposed to. We called multiple times to get ahold of South Placer with no response back. Come summer time of this year when it started getting hot again, we had to file another claim with our home warranty because our A/C unit was still not working correct. I had to complain not to have South placer heating and Air come out and fix the issue. Finally they agreed and sent out another company. Little to be know when they came out the diagnosed the issue as being what I told south placer was the issue. They fixed the issue and out AC unit is working now but due to another company coming out. We had to pay another 2300$ out of pocket for parts that warranty would not covered, had south placer diagnosed it and listen to myself the customer I wouldn't have had to pay over 4000$ is different fees and testing. Let alone south placer never did testing but charged us for it. Unfortunately they still don't want to return calls and the only way to get our money back and hold them accountable is legally with attorneys.
The technician was on time, and made sure to call me 15 minutes before his arrival. He was very professional and knowledgeable. The technician was able to detect the issue and luckily had the parts available to repair our AC unit. Overall great service.
My home warranty Company assigned this company to complete an air conditioner tune up. They were assigned service contract on June 4th. This company called me one day later and set me up for an appointment on June 20th. On June 20th, 3 hours before my 12 PM to 6 PM service window, they called me to cancel my appointment saying they had an emergency. They wanted to reschedule me for July 16th, almost a full month later. I told them that's not acceptable they are pushing me out almost a month for something that's not my fault and that I needed the service more sooner than that. After speaking with someone the representative said they can reschedule me for June 30th. Almost another two weeks but I said ok. On the morning of June 30th, again a few hours before my scheduled service window they called me saying they had to cancel my appointment again because they had another emergency. The representative claimed one of their technicians got sick. I told the representative they need to re schedule me for the upcoming Tuesday or Wednesday because that was my next days off work and I can't keep taking off work just for them to cancel my appointments. The representative said the soonest they had was July 18th. I asked to speak with a manager. The representative transferred me to what was supposed to be the manager however, that call went straight to the voicemail. I left a message and nobody ever called me back. I immediately called my home warranty company and canceled the service and got my money back. This would have been the first time using this company for service. If this is how they treat a first time customer it tells me they don't value me as a customer. These people are not the only HVAC company in town. I highly advise using another company. I wouldn't trust them to service my equipment based upon how they treated me just to make appointments and consistently cancel the appointments.
Lorenzo came to do some Duct work on my home. He was professional, took him less than 30 minutes to fix the issue. I am extremely happy after another company was not able to fix the issue. I would definitely use them again. Monique Turner-Brown
Our AC went out during one of the hottest weeks of the year and we have a newborn and 18 month old. Our home warranty company scheduled our work to be completed with South Placer and we had to wait about 5-6 days until someone could come out. That’s fine and I get that everyone in hvac is probably slammed right now. We were told Saturday during our apt window that they couldn’t come out and that they’d be there the next day, Sunday from 8-2pm. They no showed and no call and nobody is answering their business line. Very unprofessional. Would not recommend.
Edit: they came late Sunday and fixed the issue thank goodness. Moving from 1 star to 3 since there was a lack of communication and I almost left the house again since they came 2 hours after the service window they said.
Very professional. Great communication. The operator called when I was next. Then the repair tech called when he was 20 min away. Then the operator called again also to let me know he was on his way. A company that gives great communication is a company that cares about thier customers.
They were the company selected by our home warranty, and unlike previous experiences with some different companies, the technicians were professional and didn't dawdle. It took a few times to diagnose the actual issue (not their fault), and despite a mistake that sent the needed part to Minnesota, our heat pump was up and running, again. I particularly liked the fact that both the heating and cooling modes were tested, not just the AC.
