They came around as I have AHS insurance. They told me I needed a new system and gave me a quote. They told the insurance however, that they could fix the system with a new compressor - this is certainly not what they told me. I had other vendors around who all said that I needed a new system and fixing the compressor would just delay the issue. I spoke to the insurance and they said that the company should have told them I needed a new system, and I would have been able to get a few thousand dollars from the insurance for a new system.
Because I did not want to use this company they would not tell the insurance company what they had told me i.e. that I needed a new system. I kept contacting them but they have not not told the insurance company what they told me...
Because of this, I am potentially out if pocket a few thousand dollars and am going to seek legal advice on this.
South Placer Heating and Air have been no-shows multiple times without giving me information as to why. Very difficult to get a straight answer from this company and they seem to use the same "Cookie Cutter" excuse to why their technician didnt show up and to why they didnt contact me about it. Very unprofessional business. In summary this company has very long wait times to schedule an appointment with them (weeks ) and when the day comes they dont show up. If your goal is to be strung along then you are better off using Tinder or Bumble.
Was recommended by my home owners insurance. They rescheduled 3 different times on me and all 3 times were a no call no show. I would plan around their appointment times and find it extremely unprofessional they could not even call me to cancel. They would call to reschedule days after they failed to show. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Currently trying to get a refund through my insurance company.
I was assigned to South Placer Heating & Air by my home warranty company AHS for a pre-season heating check. The first appointment they had was 3 weeks out with a 6 hour long appointment window. On the day of my appointment, after waiting at home until 3PM for them to show up, I got a call that the service technician was out sick that day and that I would have to reschedule. Again, the first appointment they had was over 3 weeks out and on the day of the appointment after waiting the entire day at home they just never showed up despite sending an email confirmation the day before. Well over 6 weeks and two broken appointments and still no service has been provided. They have completely failed to do the one thing they exist to do. I would recommend using ANY other company, and my greatest sympathies to anyone who is forced to work with this terrible company because they were assigned by AHS.
It was a lot of appointments to get our problem resolved and just when I was about to lose my patience they sent over Nick. He got it fixed and was very nice. I will also say they did follow up with us on each appointment and let us know what parts were being ordered and when they would come out.
Our technician came the very next day we requested service from our home warranty. Did the work, unit is now working. Kevin was professional, courteous and cleaned the area he worked on.
I have a Home Warranty Policy they ignored...South Placer sends a sales person to your home that try's to circumvent this policy and up-sell you into a $16,000.00 unit they sell. If you do not sign and agree to this hard sell, they make you wait weeks for replacement of heating units purchased by your Home Warranty Policy. In addition, the sales person uses old sales techniques which are an insult to anyone's intelligence. Ignore this pressure and go through the Home Warrant process, you will inherently save money.
They had a different excuse each time I called. Unprofessional, only has one supplier. Waited a month and still could not get the part for my heater in. I had a miss call I called back and they did not know who had called me and they did not leave a voicemail to let me know my appointment was canceled due to the part still not in. They told me I had to still wait another 7-10 days. They were fired.
Went thru my home warranty company given a 8am to 2am window. So I take off work half the day at 1030 I call they say your in the back end 2pm. . I missed a whole day for nothing. Unacceptable.

They fixed my AC through my home warranty. They replaced the control board and fan motor and it works again. Thanks!
