I would never ask them to come back to my house.
This winter was the first winter after same day air replaced all the cooling components. After a month of heat use, my heater had an issue where it would turn off to cool itself down. I went up into my attic to investigate and found that the install looked really rough. I had no technical knowledge of the install so I called someone else to look and they had only bad things to say about the install from same day air. The new contractor spent time with me to walk through what was wrong.
The cooling evaporator was installed in the wrong direction, it had pipes going through a custom hole(instead of the ones already on the exchange) that same day air made, that hole leaked my heat and so the heater had to work extra hard to heat my house. But it wasn't just the hole, the evaporator being in the wrong direction causes more resistance on the fan. I've attached a photo of the evaporator with the correct ports sealed and leaking hole made by same day air.
Additionally they installed too big of an a/c unit(and charged me more). I needed a 3ton unit instead of 4 ton because of the size of my vents.
Same day air does the type of contract work that you need someone else to come in and fix. Do not hire them.

Very prompt service and good communication. When setting up the appointment, same day did a good job of understanding what repairs we needed and sending the right technician over. Technician was very professional, did a great job. There was full transparency of what was done and why with no hidden fees or surprises. Would recommend them!

We have used Same Day heating and air several times and have always had great service and results. Our upstairs air conditioner went out Friday and they weren’t able to make it until Monday, but they had it fixed within two minutes. A terrific company!

Our AC broke during the first heat of summer. I contacted a few places but no one was able to come until next day or week. As soon as the technician was on the way, I got a text and was able to track his arrival. Our technician, Frank, was able to assess our problem within 5 minutes, and had the part ready to get our AC unit working again. He was a lifesaver and I will use them again!

Our A/C repair order has been assigned to MS Service/ Same Day Air via AHS; and it has been over two months so far, and it is not fixed yet.

After about a month from original service request date, they mentioned they have put in their report and requested parts with AHS. At the time Nate, who handles warranty claims mentioned that they have requested AHS to order Evaporator coil (indoor unit) as well in addition to Condenser (outdoor unit); so that they can change the entire A/C system, though condenser unit is the only worn out part. Along came an estimate of $4609 in the name of modification and code changes that are not covered by AHS. The charges listed are superfluous and does not pertain to our existing set up which is already code compliant and does not require any modifications or code upgrades.

They have listed charges for concrete pad which we already have nice and about 4” thick. They have listed charges for earthquake strap, we already have earthquake strap installed on existing unit hence shouldn’t be considered modification. We already have dedicated 50amps circuit breaker and outdoor disconnect and properly insulated wires, however they are listing charges to modify them. They are listing charges for refrigerant copper line set, primary and secondary drain pan replacement and changes to ductwork and Sheetmetal work in attic - all these currently exist, properly insulated and up to the code; and moreover these should not be required at all when replacing outdoor unit only. Also, for permit and inspection, I have clarified that we have right to pull directly from city and name MS Services as licensed contractor doing the work, that way we are not required to pay any additional processing fees they are charging in relation to permit and inspection.

Upon requesting clarification on these charges, Nate mentioned these are the minimum required scope of work, which in fact not at all justified and fair given they are not required and/or considered modification as per our current installation/set up.

AHS offered $1770 as cash payout option in lieu of repairs/replacement, which is based on what they intend to spend on our service request including materials. Such low cash option seems to drive us to go for repairs by AHS contractor, who may not be reimbursed by AHS enough to perform the warranty work but has option to directly charge warranty customer in the name of modification and code changes as non-covered charge. This is unfair and predatory trade practice by AHS and it’s network. Any modification and/or code upgrade charges should be appropriate and commensurate to the actual site. In our case the technician who came to our home twice cleared stated and recognized that only outdoor condenser unit needs tobe replaced and everything else would remain intact except they need to flush out old refrigerant and refill new refrigerant.

Upon further back and forth seeking clarification, Nate did mention that there is some confusion about scope of work charges he sent earlier. Based on the email he sent on June 21, it sounded like they only need to replace pad and disconnect whip for outdoor unit replacement option, and other line items would be removed from the itemized list he sent before. However his email write up was not fully clear and to avoid any ambiguity I have been trying to reach him seeking clarification for past 6 days with many emails, texts and voicemails; however haven’t heard back from him. I was told Sam who is manager/supervisor has been away from office, hence tried reaching him via texts, however i haven’t heard back from him either.

As a homeowner the warranty service experience should have been smooth and provide peace of mind. This experience has done exactly opposite. This has been a nightmare so far.

It is unfortunate that this contractor couldn’t employ honest trade practice and when exposed of such superfluous charges, they decided to drop the ball and declined to do warranty work after keeping us hanging for over two months.

I used their service for duct repair through American Home Shield home insurance. The service man had no intention to go into the crawl space to do the inspection. He told me some diagnosis to get home warranty approval from AHS, on the other hand told completely different diagnosis to AHS that my house doesn’t have access to the crawl space to perform the inspection.

In my opinion it’s not professional behavior. I would take my business to someone else.

Our furnace died on a Sunday and we needed someone to take a look at it asap given the cold January nights. Same day air conditioning answered our call immediately and sent someone over ~ 1 hour later. They were here before other companies returned my call. The technician was super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The owner followed up with any questions might have. Excellent service all around. Also very reasonable prices.

I will use their services again for sure.

My unit was rated as "remove and replace (buy 1 from us). I called my home warranty and they sent Same Day AC&H out. The professional notice of prior arrival was very helpful, the warm greeting and professional attitude was clearly a great start. The tech serviced the unit, repaired the problems, got a motor and other parts order and set my unit up to run while the parts came in. I will always use a good company but someone not trying to sell me a unit for business is the best way to grow a stable and professional relationship with trust! Thank you.
