    I chose Friends & Family Heating and Air Conditioning based on the fact they are a family owned and run business. From the very beginning, they were friendly and professional. Minerva answered the phone, and asked me a few questions to determine the service I needed, and let me know the initial cost. She then scheduled my appointment for the next day, letting me know the name of the repairman, Edgar Martinez, and the time he was to arrive. The next day I received an update from Minerva, regarding his arrival time and also a text from Edgar. Edgar was very nice, professional and efficient. He explained all the repair options available, and did not try to push me in any direction. The repair cost was more than reasonable. Way less than any of those big companies that advertise all day long on the radio. I will recommend Friends & Family Heating and Air Conditioning to all my friends. I am a very satisfied customer.

    Honestly, the reviews for this company were so glowing that I questioned whether they were real! But after having Max come out to service our HVAC and help us see what the problem is, I'm a true believer. Max was incredibly friendly, professional, and prompt. He showed up as scheduled, he did great work, and he took the time to explain my system to me and make sure I understood what my options are. He even drew a diagram for me so I could visualize the issue. I've rarely seen someone take the extra time to help the customer make such informed decisions and it meant a lot to me. You guys have a wonderful team!

    Edgar replaced a failed capacitor in August of 2022 and cleaned/inspected the AC unit in October. He came back today to check/clean the unit this year. These guys are dependable, honest, affordable and very knowledgeable about the equipment. Highly recommend the company and especially Edgar!

    No matter how many times I call this company about a warranty process that was supposed to occur, and no matter how many times they promise that they will fix the problem, they never do. UPDATE on 06/27/23: To their credit, they finally did come through and did the right thing by me, so in my book, this is a very good company to work with!

    These guys are really superb! Quality service from start to finish. Our technician Caleb D. was super friendly and got down to the issue quickly and was knowledgeable about the system. He was able to troubleshoot our problems very quickly. Their service is fast and they have helpful phone agents who are understanding and work around your schedule.

    Caleb was able to identify the issue with our heating system and get us up and running again in no time, and provided with some next steps for maintaining our unit. I'd recommend these guys for any heating or AC service.

    I hired Friends&Family even though they were not local due to what I liked about their reviews. I know a lot about HVAC and I am very pleased with their work installing a new Lenox up flow AC and gas furnace, they did extra things that made a nice installation that works and looks great.

    I am so happy I found this business and had them come look at my furnace. I have a very old unit so I knew going in that it may not be repairable. The technician, Christian, thoroughly inspected the problem and went in with optimism that maybe he can repair it. Unfortunately, my whole system is a hot mess. However, Christian took a video and even drew me a diagram of how the system works to explain what was going on and why it was not repairable. I cannot thank him enough.

    So now, I will be replacing my system and having Friends and Family install it and I feel very confident that I am hiring the best HVAC company.

    Our heater failed at the coldest time of the coldest year. They were able to come out the next day and helped me finance a new heater and central air conditioning. The job was almost impossible because of our cluttered house. But Cesar and Vladimir did a professional job and they were very courteous and considerate.

    I’m so impressed. I can’t even believe what a great business they are running.
    I initially had a bad experience and left a bad review. But man did they turn this around. Shortly after my review I received a call directly from the owner. Who clearly loves his business and cares about his customers. He apologized and was willing to do whatever was necessary to fix the issue if I gave them a second chance. They called me to reschedule. Confirmed a time and window that worked with my schedule. He sent his best guy Kenny out to do the job. Not only that he sent out the first guy to help out. I love this because this means it won’t happen to anyone else and he gets to learn how to do things better. The owner clearly cares about the customer his employees and the company’s reputation. I wish more businesses worked this way. It really was a breath of fresh air.the day off, I received a call when they were about half a hour out to let me know they were on the way. Tracking was sent out as well so I new how far they were. The guys came out. They replaced the damage part. Showed me pictures and the old part. Cleaned out my system did full maintenance on it. Brought me extra filters. I could not be more happy. We tested the heater and I’ll be sleeping warm tonight. I will definitely be calling them again for all my future maintenance or repair needs.

    Old Review for reference:
    I booked an appointment for my 2 heating systems. One had stopped heating part of my home and I just wanted the other checked out. The appointment window I was given was 11-5pm. Who has 6 hours to sit around and wait for these people to show up? Anyway I asked them to call me 20-30 min before arrival. No one called about half way through the window and I had things to do. I called them to check what was going on. I was promised a call one again to tell me when the tech was on the way. I did not receive a call. The kid that finally showed up needed to go into my attic to access the furnace. (I had to provide a ladder that was tall enough since his was too small). After less than 5 min he came down and told me it was fixed. I asked what about the 30 point inspection promised over the phone. He said the work order was places as a repair so he couldn’t do that. I said yes but only one system has an issue so the other should get a 30 point inspection as promised. End of story he didn’t do anything more except ask if I wanted the filters changed. I said yes since it’s included in their price and was told this would be done as long as I have standard filters. My system requires standard filters so expected at least for this part to go smoothly. In the end he had no filters so I had to provide filters. I paid essentially for nothing. I could easily change these filters myself since I had extra on hand and since I have the ladder to reach. I wanted someone to come do a maintenance inspection and fix my issue. Now tell me why neither of my request’s/tasks where completed and I was still charged for both? This is unacceptable.
