On the initial visit, the technician parked his vehicle at the opposite end of the house from the air conditioning unit. When I asked why he had not parked his vehicle adjacent to the AC, he told me that he needed to inspect my roof. He then proceeded to give me incorrect information regarding a warranty program in an effort to sell an upgraded policy. SMW had previously installed a new unit, which was under factory warranty. As they did not have the warranty part, they installed a “temporary motor. Although I requested an itemized statement to submit to my home warranty company, this information was never provided. I was contacted when the original part came into stock, and requested that the same technician not be assigned due to his rudeness. After taking the day off work, I was told that the part was not actually in stock when they went to retrieve it. Several weeks later, I received an email indicating that an appointment had been scheduled. I did not receive an advance call to confirm whether this would be convenient for me. The original technician arrived for the service, and again parked at the opposite end of the residence from the HVAC unit. After telling me that the work had been completed, he indicated that the office would contact me as I would be charged for the replacement motor. I indicated I should have been told this information in advance. I paid SMW $5241.21 for a new air conditioning unit in October of
2020, and an additional $340 for the installation of the temporary unit as they did not have the manufacturers part in stock. For this expense, I would expect to receive better service!

Scheduled heating maintenance today. Paul was fantastic. He showed up on time, was very thorough explaining how the system works and repairs needed. Completed the repairs today which was nice, didn’t have to schedule another appointment. Hopefully Paul will be available for all my future maintenance needs.

They put in my new system in the brutal heat in July ! My follow up maintenance has been good, they contacted me and very flexible with my schedule requests. Jeff technician is very knowledgeable. Always pleasant and takes his time to show me things when I ask question or will explain them so I understand if not able to show. Would recommend them bar none !

Joe and Alex were awesome! Excellent communication though the whole process. From the time they came and inspected the job, to providing the quote to scheduling installation and contacting me when they were on their way the day of the installation.
