Collins Comfort Masters

Paul was professional and knowledgeable. Texted me he was on his way, arrived on time and was so courteous and professional. Asked me if I had questions before he began, then explained what he did and made recommendations. I’m very impressed with him and this company!

I have been using Collins Comfort Masters for several years now. They have always been professional and easy to work with. I decided to post this review because the Collins Comfort Masters Technician, Jonathan Garcia, went above and beyond on this last job and I really appreciated it. We needed to have significant cleaning done to the Blower Wheel and Coils of the unit and replacement of several parts due to build up of debris in the unit. Jonathan went out of his way to make sure I was confident in the job he was doing. He showed me how things looked before and after the job and he spent the time necessary to get the job done perfectly. I believe Jonathan when he says he guarantees his work. I will continue to use Collins Comfort Masters in the future with Jonathan as our preferred technician.

Review Update: The first time we turned on the A/C unit after the above repair, the A/C would not turn off even when hitting the thermostat setting. Collins Comfort Masters got a technician out to us in about an hour after I called in the issue. Audrey Mahaffey came out and investigated and fixed the issue quickly. Collins Comfort Masters did not charge us a single penny for fixing a mistake that was made in the previous repair. This shows that they operate is how any good business should be run: when a mistake is made, they make it right.

Collins Comfort Master did an wonderful job with my A/C issue. They were responsive and communicated clearly. It took some time for them to get here, but when our technician arrived he was professional, courteous and thorough. The issue he found was simple but he went on to do thorough diagnostics to ensure there were no other issues. The service call fee covered everything. I will use this service again.

Collins installed my new AC last year and did an excellent job. The system works perfectly and their followup for maintenance is just as good. I've had Brayan as my tech and he is professional, polite and just a really nice person. I wish all companies performed as well!

Had an issue with our air conditioner output. Travis found the issue immediately. Checked all other areas, cleaned the coil. He was quick and efficient. Have now used Collins twice in one week for different issues and would highly recommend to anyone.

Service received: New HVAC install.

Pros:
-Seemingly high quality install. Mario and Tyler did a fantastic job and managed to get the attic unit thorough a tiny access without cutting any drywall.
-Mario responded to my texted questions after spending all day in a very hot attic
-Installed the next day.
-The sales rep, Tanner, was a service technician who does not get commission. I didn't feel sold or pressured.

Cons:
-Installers left some mess. Some insulation in the ductwork that blew through the whole downstairs, a cut of the bathroom linoleum, some dirty handprints, etc. But again, it was over 100 degrees in the house - let along the attic. They deserve some slack for that.
-Poor communication from the sales rep. I had to email twice, call the rep, and finally call the office to receive any paperwork after my install. It's been over a week since the install and they are still working on getting me final paperwork
- Installers get incentivized for 5 star reviews. While they should be incentivized for a good, clean install, this leads to a bogus rating. Most HVAC companies do this. Mario and Tyler deserve this incentive, so I am giving 5 stars. But in reality, I would typically place this as a 4-star review.

Adam from Collins Comfort Masters provided Premier Customer Service and Support. Overall outstanding maintenance service on my A/C unit. I would recommend Adam and Collins Comfort Masters to anyone and everyone. Thanks for a job well done!!!

We haven’t signed a contract with Collins yet, but Sam is absolutely the most delightful sales person we’ve ever encountered. He is a straight shooter and extremely knowledgeable. We will probably ultimately go with Collins, but have a couple other appointments for quotes lined up. If we were making a decision based on personality alone though, we’d be setting up the install appointment with Sam today.

Simon O. is my requested regular technician and I always appreciate the care and quality of work that he performs when at my house. He comes twice a year to service my AC units and I have not had any issues over the few years he has been servicing my units. He even gives me personalized tips on things I can do between servicings to make sure I am always running at Peak performance. Thank you Simon.

You would be better off throwing your money into a void had a plumbing a/c contract with them. Their initial diagnosis of the issue was wrong paid for the fix and then it ended up costing us twice as much after they took our toilet out the 2nd time around and told us it wouldn’t be covered because the previous employee didn’t diagnose it properly. Despite paying into their service contract for a year RUN! Giving the 1 star for the front desk lady on her 4th day thanks for your promptness.
