I was extremely please when after my A/C stopped responding after 5PM on a Wednesday Penguin Air answered their phone at 6pm and had a tech at my house within 30 minutes. Chase was friendly and extremely professional and had my system up and running within 1.5 hours. He explained everything he was checking. After he got the system up and running, he went and checked the air temp at each vent and discovered a secondary issue. Had he not done that I would have had to generate another call. I appreciate how efficient his service was. I recommended Penguin Air and in particular Chase if you’re having A/C problems.

JD was very professional, courteous, and explained HVAC preventive care to ensure my system will run optimally for as long as possible. My air conditioner stopped working so I called Penguin Air and they came out and tried to fix it. Before they did that they thought it might be electrical so they had there electrician come out and they tried to add new breakers in my electrical box. My husband said how are we going to be sure if the new breakers work so the electrician took out a couple breakers and we learned some of our breakers are melting because the person who put the panel in used aluminum instead of copper wire so now we need a new electrical panel box and a new air conditioner. The guys from Penguin Air were here all weekend even on the day before a holiday they have been really great!! We need a permit for our electrical box and they have been doing everything they can to get it but of course the holiday has to get in the way because you can't get a hold of anybody and this has to happen when the temperatures our the hottest they have been in awhile

Penguin Air is the best A/C company in the Valley. Hands down. We had a very challenging install that I expected to go poorly but Penguin knocked it out of the park and came up with creative solutions which no other A/C company had suggested. In the 7 years we have been using them, they rarely try to upsell us on things and when they do, we know they are important. The staff is all top notch and when we talk with them, they always mention that they love working for Penguin and have had many bad experiences working for other companies. Penguin is the only company that has our trust and has kept it for 7 years by consistently doing the right thing, providing amazing service, and taking professional to a whole new level.

So here's our roller coaster experience with Penguin:

When our AC went out a couple weeks ago around 4pm, we called these guys because they were the only ones available to come out that night. A technician showed up around 9-10pm and diagnosed a bad blower motor in our air handler. He didn't have the part on him but he said it was available in Phoenix and he could grab it the next day to fix our unit. The next morning, we called Penguin to schedule the repair but the phone rep said the part needed to be ordered and couldn't give us a time frame on when it would come in (could be one day, two days, etc), completely contradicting what the tech told us earlier. Fortunately, the same technician came back because he left a tool in our attic the night before. He said the rep was mistaken and he was able to grab the part that afternoon and started working on fixing our unit around 2-3pm that day.

This is when things went downhill - the tech installed the new motor but we noticed very little cold air was coming out of the vents. We were adamant that it wasn't fixed but the tech insisted that it would take a while for the motor to go up to "full speed" and to give it time. We repeatedly said that the unit wasn't operating correctly and felt that the tech was trying to gaslight us into thinking that it was fixed. After he left, we ran the unit until 9pm. The indoor temp never went below 79 degrees. We noticed a loud clicking sound coming from the outdoor unit - also, the fan stopped spinning and the coils had ice on them. We immediately called Penguin again but they couldn't schedule anyone to come out until the next morning and the ice needed to defrost before it could be worked on. Cue a 2nd night without AC (we had to rig a window AC in our toddler's room).

The same tech came out the next morning, took a look at our unit and after an hour or so, said he had exhausted his knowledge of our unit (after suggesting a unit replacement). Another tech, Chase, came out later that day. Thankfully, he was able to diagnose the problem within 45 minutes - the first tech had installed the wrong part. Chase drove to Phoenix to grab the correct part and got our AC running again by 5pm that day.

Shout out to Chase for his expertise. However, I don't think we'd use Penguin again - too many things happened that left a bad taste. We were fortunate that no further damage was done to our unit and all this could've been avoided if Penguin sent out a tech with the appropriate level of knowledge in the first place.

Now I understand why this company has so many great reviews. The expert that handled my issue, Demar, was with me from start to finish. He made the process as painless as possible. Regarding the actual repair -- very quick (less than 2 hours). Everyone else involved in the process were very helpful and extremely nice as well.

Called for ceiling fan to be installed in our new home in our great room. I explained the ceiling was about 16 to 19 feet high. She quoted me $299 with their coupon and installer could come by same day. No installer showed up it was guy to come estimate and it was not for same price they quoted over the phone. Guy was not knowledgeable, asked if I had previous ceiling installed!! My house is brand new home just completed why would I call if I had a fan just installed!! Completed waste of my time. Was extremely frustrated would not recommend this company!

Derrick and Rex were so professional, consciousness , and respectful to the job, they worked together as a great team, and they communicated amazingly. Our needs towards a complete electrical re-wire of our home was done professionally. They answered all questions and completed their work timely and gave a call every morning, arrived timely daily. We have been Penguin Air Plumbing & Electrical for years. These great employees should commended as they restored our trust and faith in this company as it was beginning to dwindle.
