Do not use this company if you are looking for one that is professional, on the up and up and knows what they are doing. We called them to take a look at our old commercial ac unit. They advised that one of the parts was bad but recommended we replace the entire unit. We agreed to it being that it was old and still used freon. However, after over a week of looking for a comparable unit they could not find one. So they offered to come back out and see what they could do to repair the unit. At this time they advised the bad part was no longer bad but that there was a freon leak. They advised it would be around $2200-2400 to repair the leak and fill with freon. We agreed. They did the repair. The next day the unit stopped working. This time they said the original bad part was actually bad and to replace it, it would cost roughly $9500 more! This had never been mentioned in any of the previous communications until now. In addition to the ridiculous pricing of everything they did or wanted to do, these people would not provide an invoice/receipt for any of their work. We have asked many times. Another AC co. was installing a new unit in a neighboring suite the day the original repair was done, we took their info incase we needed to replace either the unit in question or our other one. After getting nowhere with Diamond, we had to call the other co. to install the brand new unit for $10K. They had it installed within 24 hrs of calling them. I highly recommend JMAC Heating & Cooling, they were professional, reliable, quick, clean and the units been working just fine. Beware of Diamond.
This company is great. They got a technician out the same day to fix my broken AC in 112 degree weather. Also gave me a great deal and my technician Chris was very helpful.
Diamond AC is our first call for any AC issues. They’ve helped us twice now with our AC that was not installed improperly years ago by another company. Both times we’ve had issues, they sent a tech out quickly and were able to do the repairs needed promptly and with quality work. Everyone has been wonderful to work with.
REVIEW POST: This is a warning that Diamond AC practices bait-and-switch practices and are in the business of defrauding their customers. On 8/18/22, a trained Diamond AC professional technician, came to my home and performed a thorough inspection of my property. Upong return on 8/22/22 his prior inspection was suddenly insufficient and needed to be performed again, this time resulting in a higher price exceeding $700 more than the initial confirmed cost.. I have tried to communicate with the company several times to reach someone authorized to speak with me and have received no response. I had hoped Diamond AC would stand by their initial inspection and price and that this exchange would end on good terms. It is clear now Diamond AC does not intend to make it right. I do not want my credit affected by this unfortunate situation so I have paid the demanded balance. DO NOT USE DIAMOND AC.
I was a little worried starting with a new company but Diamond AC & Heating have been great so far. We bought the 5-year plan. Some companies get you signed up and then customer service doesn’t seem to matter anymore. Not so with Diamond. They are friendly and professional, really easy to work with. I look forward to continuing our business relationship.
We called for an AC emergency. The tech said we needed 5 pounds of Freon at $110 a pound, a $400 leak stop. We paid over $950 just for the issue to come right back the next day. Right after they left again, it went back to 80 degrees in the house. After sitting at 86 degrees, we called another company. They came out and said that the Freon, the leak stop, was all unnecessary. They fixed what was needed in the attic and we paid $500 and haven’t had issues. So technically we paid $950 for absolutely nothing
I had Troy and Mike out on 5/25 for a maintenance call for my ac units. Upon inspecting both units, one was found to be in total disrepair and needed to be replaced while the other, gratefully, could still repaired. I appreciate how they took pictures of both units and we're able to show me what was happening with each one as well as patiently explaining the issues and why certain things were happening or needed. I was impressed at how hard they advocated for me with my home warranty company to try to get repairs/replacement costs to be covered- no one else has ever done that for me! They were on the phone with my warranty company for over 3hrs! Although the home warranty didn't end up covering the cost of all that was needed, they were still able to get me a reasonable reimbursement amount based on the age of my unit-- that definitely would NOT have happened without Troy's ability to give a detailed explaination of what was happening and why. I was very thankful they made sure my AC units were still functioning well enough to blow cold air into my home until I could make the decision on how to proceed with replacement and repair costs. Back in November, I had Carl out for maintenance work on my heating system and he also did a great job. I have enjoyed working with this company and highly recommend them-- they will definitely take care of you and your family!!
