I took time to visit the showroom, and was greeted at the door with a smile and felt welcome. The workers work as a team to get your questions answered, they were very knowledgable. The HVAC industry is very competitive but I would rather go with a company that has stability, knowledge and have customers as number one priority.

I was so pleased and impressed with the work they did! They were responsive to our initial inquiries about replacing our AC, showed up on time, masked without asking (which was a HUGE plus!), were very nice and completed the work quickly. Thank you so much!

When purchasing parts from this company please keep in mind... Their zero returns policy also means zero returns when parts are faulty out of the box. Granted this happens in small percentage of parts sold, but this company should acknowledge this, especially with one week of purchase. I have a hard time believing that the manufacturers they are distributing from have a zero return policy, it seems more likely they just don't want to deal with the hassle. This coupled with a rude response = horrendous customer service!

Needed a part for one of my condensing units that failed over the weekend and they were open, on a Sunday, with the part in stock. Saved us from a long hot day indoors without the main A/C unit in July. The part was quite a bit more than I would have paid if I could have purchased it elsewhere during the week, but when you need A/C, you gotta go with what's available and I thank Hendel's for being open when everyone else is not.

I received 3 quotes from 3 different contractors for a full heating/cooling system ($9000+). We have used Hendel’s in the past and told them this is one of the reasons we wanted a quote from them. They were not the cheapest (+$50) but due to our past service experience, we selected them. All proposals/quotes were for the same complete 18 SEER system. When Hendel’s came to install, the installation crew did an amazing job. They were kind, courteous and very knowledgeable. However when they went to install the thermostat, they put in a model that was one step above the old mercury ones. I told them this is not what we were quoted or told when the sales man (Bob Yee) was here. They told me this is what they have and I need to talk to Bob. I called Bob and he said I would have to pay for an upgrade. So I called American Standard and they told me what thermostat should go with the system and the model number. I called Bob and told him which thermostat needs to be installed. Then came the $350 upcharge! I told him when he was here he said we would have Wi/Fi access to the new unit and he said “he didn’t remember that”. He said, “All the contract says is digital, and this is a digital thermostat” . WOW! I have 3 quotes, 2 that include the Wi/Fi thermostat and then Bob’s. This would have put Hendel’s as the highest bid and I would have gone with someone else. BEWARE! The will try to upcharge you DURING install. AVOID THIS COMPANY FOR SALES! The crew that will come and service (Rich and Frank) were AMAZING they get MAX STARS!

Called in to request a service call and was told they only service new units they install. I just installed my mini split and was request a tech come out and vacuum down the system and was told they do not want to assist and be liable. Don’t see any difference with a tech attaching to lines on a new system or an old system on my room. Worst response ever from a customer service provider.

Started using Hendel's almost 20 years ago - very honest company to deal with! Complainers on this site are not telling the full story. HVAC systems don't last forever, and need to be replaced completely after 15 years of use, if they last that long. Temps in the Phoenix area can reach 120F+.....

I have been employed here for 20 years now. I'm so incredibly proud of my parents and very honored to work for/with them. Like my dad always said, "Good 'ol fashioned customer service". 48 years in business, truly family owned and operated. I'm proud to work for Hendel's.

This place rips people off!!. Do not use them. I called them for a diagnostics that was supposed to cost $89.00 for my rental home. I just wanted them to look at the unit and see if it needed any maitenance. The unit was working properly when they came. They told me they wouldnt do anymore work without my authorization. They quoted me $400.00 to $500.00 for a simple coil cleaning. I said no thank you. Too expensive. I called Chandler Air and they went out and did a diagnostics and cleaning for $100.00. I later received a bill from Hendels for $138.00!! They charged me $43.00 for labor for opening up and closing the unit. Apparently, the diagnostic doesnt include them opening up the unit to look inside!! They are thieves!!

I bought a Run Capacitor 45/5 370/440 for $52.70 because it’s HOT in Arizona and AC is important and vital. Turns out I needed another one so I decided to look around before I had to spend another 52.70. That’s when I found out that this company does a 400% markup. Wow!!!! I’m disappointed because this company is ripping people off. The same part at Grainger is 13.10. They are located on Baseline between Stapley and Cooper. Their friendly and knowledgeable. Use Grainger for Your AC parts otherwise your paying a 400% markup. I called Hendel’s to ask them why there is a 400% markup and Laura said it’s because we don’t sell parts we usually do AC services. BEWARE because if that’s their markup on parts having a Hendel’s service is a HUGH OUTRAGEOUS OVER PRICED markup. Good Luck on your AC parts.
