my main water valve was seized a bit and they came by to take a look at it same day. Took just a bit more force to get it free/loose. Kirk also took a look a quick look at my shower for me.

Update. I also apparently had a leaking tub too, as I noticed my 2nd floor ceiling dripping water. I called discount and got kirk again :D. He was able to come same day, cut the drywall, quickly caught the issue and fixed it within minutes for me.

Very satisfied with their service. Scott was a huge help in explaining what needed to be done to upgrade the unit. He even took time to FaceTime me to guide me through the internals of the unit and to look at the furnace and better explain what would be performed. Installation was very timely and with a good quality end result. Will use them again in the future and highly recommend.

called because my furnace stopped working while I was out of town and needed it turned back on. they told me it was going to be $89 to get somebody out there to diagnose it. I was charged $330 by them and was given a false diagnoses. after i got there diagnoses they sent me an estimate saying i needed to have my furnace replaced and that they would do it for $4000. I called my buddy and when he got off work he went to my place and plugged in everything that the tech from here unplugged and relit the pilot light turning my heat back on. when I called to see about why i got overcharged the office manager got snippy with me and continued to try to sell me on something I don't need. I told her to stop trying to sell me and to issue the refund back to my account and she hung up on me.

Please find another option for your plumbing and heating needs. I would not recommend this company to anyone that needs things done correctly and quickly.

As I am preparing to sell a property, and I have already moved out of state. The buyers inspection found an issue with the dryer vent and a leaky bath faucet. I contacted discount mechanical because they had done some previous work on my furnace, and had an OK experience but I was there in person to make sure things were done properly and in a timely manner.

This time, being out of state I couldn't be there to make sure things were done the way the home inspector needed things to be completed. I asked them to fix the faucet and hook up the dryer to muni code (no vinyl or aluminum corrugated tubing, must be rigid metal).

No problem they said, and I asked them keep me in the loop as primary contact but I gave them my realtors contact info for the key to the property. I receive an invoice on 12/30/2019 that had the work performed and no where on it did it say that there was any work left to be completed. I paid the bill and let my realtor know that a follow up inspection can be scheduled. A week later before the next inspection, my realtor calls and tells me that the dryer is pulled away from the wall, the work is incomplete.

I contacted DM, and they told me that they have been working on finding a way to fix the dryer vent flapper. But I called them and it was a week later.

They didn't keep me in the loop, the invoice didn't say that it was incomplete, so here I am having to extend the closing date which costs me more money. After speaking to a manager about this issue, they said they would call me back but never did. Every time they said they'd get back to me, I have had to call them back. They came up with excuses of why I wasn't notified.

Then they said they were working on it and could get a Tech over that day... and maybe could get it done but said that they were pretty busy. What they didn't say was that they messed up and would make it right. There were no apologies, and I even heard another manager or possibly the boss in the background commenting towards this call in a very unprofessional manner. Their customer service needs to be overhauled.

After several phone calls and discussions, they told me that I should find a handy man to fix this problem. That was the only thing helpful that DM did for me. I had a handy man over there 2 hours after that and fixed 2 hours later, including fixing the exterior vent and everything was to code. Why couldn't DM do that back in December on the initial visit? Good question.

The initial invoice has labor that is far more than what is acceptable for fixing a faucet and they will not refund any portion of that labor. Initially when I paid it, the labor amount made sense for the two jobs that needed to be performed. But since nothing was done about the dryer vent, the labor amount is too much.

I am waiting to hear back from the boss about this issue but I suspect that I won't get a call.

Very knowledgeable and thorough during the inspection to find the source of the leak. Once the issue was identified he had it fixed within minutes.
