Our boiler broke on a Sunday night and 18F outside. Discount Mechanical sent someone over by 10 a.m. Monday and our heat was up and running by 11:15. Brian the repairman was professional, efficient and clearly explained what the problems were so I could understand him easily. I highly recommend Discount Mechanical, especially if you have an old-fashioned '80s boiler. Great work and great service!

Replaced our old water heater. Brought all required materials and were accurate in detail with the estimate. Checked applicable codes. Set up Muni inspection for the work. We will choose them again.

Had a part go out on our heater and googled heating repairs in Alaska, and Discount Mechanical was on of the highest rated on google. Gave them a call and with in mins I had a appointment for the next day to diagnose what was going on. First Tech that came out was Jim, professional and informative person told me that it was a part that might need to get ordered and gave me an estimate to look at. I told him I would need a bit to think about it. Called the next day and talked to Reggie (Manager) and broke down what was found and talked about different options since I had an old heater. He not only gave me options but took the time to explain, in detail, that he could have someone come out and take heater apart and search for a universal part that could fix the issue. Had another appointment schedule for that next day. Brian the next tech that came out was friendly and re-evaluated the problem and found out that it was even a cheaper priced part that was causing the whole issue. Went to the grab the part and installed it with in minutes. Explained to me what happened and what he recommends happen. I gotta say, its not everyday that google review line up with businesses but this one did. I highly recommend them to anyone in the Anchorage area. Brian came to fix my forced air heating system. Figured out the issue fast and repaired it fast. The system needed a new circuit board, he went back to get one and later on installed it. No issues at all with the service!

We had some contractors out that didn’t properly replace an air pipe they moved causing the pilot light to go out on our boiler, but Dwight came and saved the day! He was professional & quickly diagnosed/took care of the problem and provided me with a report. Peter and Levi came in and diagnosed my moms heater for an affordable price; after finding the problem, they got to work and helped us get our heating back on, within the same day! Today the technician was thorough and explained potential hazards. Last year I had a thermostat installed and it wasn't installed correctly, and the technician from last year turned up my boiler as I asked him, but didn't mention that the aquastat could build up sediment. If I would've known that I wouldn't have turned asked him to turn it up.
