The reason they get 5 stars is due to overall performance and professionalism of their staff. Michael arrived when he said he would, his partner on the truck found an issue and corrected it; then completed the repair they came out for all while I stood watching (trying to learn a thing or two). Michael has been to my home before regarding an AC issue and at the time he stated what may need to happen so I was prepared well in advance. He also gave me an estimate on my next system and I will certain request him being the installer when the time comes to replace the unit.

i am a female , 21 year old first time home owner and was forced to use myers through my AHS warranty. my ac unit has been broken for almost a year. they first came out in July on the $75 fee charge to look and diagnose the problem. the guy told me that it was not working because it needed to cleaned and that was "lack of maintenance" with AHS which was not covered which cost me $359+$75 already paid. fast forward to november and it stops working again (my assumption because that wasn't really the issue or either was completely over looked as the issue the first time he came out) , pay another $75 for them to come look at it and get told there is a hole in my outdoor unit. they get me a quote for $495 (again i already paid $75 for them to come out) and i get the outdoor unit replaced. by this time it's november (so i haven't used the ac much until now). i go to run the air this weekend to cool down the house and it's blowing completely hot air out. im told it will be "$89.99 towards the cost of whatever needs to be fixed" .... i have never dealt with such un honest people , seems to me based off reading a lot of the reviews from men who's wives have been in similar situations, they love to take advantage of the knowledge women don't have on this to run you dry of your money!! (also just a little psa. whoever my first technician is that cleaned my unit , i hope you enjoyed the $20 cash i gave you for your lunch out of appreciation for "fixing" my ac) lmao. guess we can't trust everyone to be decent human beings! stay as far away as you can from this company.

Purchased a 12,000 brand new unit less than a year ago and they have been out to work on it at least 8 times. Was not installed properly, the installers broke the fan motor while installing, had to order replacement and I was never told about this until they showed up at a later date to install it. It makes a loud banging noise and this has been “worked on” so many times! I just went outside and the noise is back as usual. Will be calling tomorrow to set up yet another service call! I do deal with the Montgomery office now and they at least seem more knowledgeable than the Birmingham office. I have tried calling and talking to the owner, Brandon Meyers, over 5 times and he will NOT return my calls. This is only a fraction of the issues I have described above. I would not have enough room in this review to list them all out. Very disappointed and frustrated. 12,000 is a lot of money to spend on a product that has never worked properly! I also have to say that it is NOT the unit. This is a top of the line unit that was not installed properly and that has been basically ruined by incompetent and non-liscensed employees.

The person who showed up to ck the system did an excellent job both informing me of what was going on and in fixing our potential problem.

We have used Myers many times through AHS and they have always been responsive and thorough. We had Jesse this last time and he did a great job and was very clear explaining everything. We had Michael the times before and he was great as well. By the way, both times we reported needing service, they were out the next day at both properties
UPDATE
This time we had Micheal and he was prompt and professional as usual, good group of guys who do good work. They are hindered by the home warranty company- its not Myers fault

I was assigned Myers as the company to look at my A/C unit through my home warranty with AHS. Cliff was the technician who came out. Cliff informed me that my compressor went out and that it would need to be replaced. Before leaving I asked Cliff if this would be covered under my warranty to which he informed that it would be. I was pleased to hear this thinking that it would cost me $75 out of pocket which is standard with my home warranty. All that was left was for the warranty company to approve it and the part would be replaced. So I thought. 72 hours later AHS called me to inform me that what needed to be fixed on my unit was not covered by my warranty. I was told my out of pocket cost would be $750. I asked for some time to discuss my options with my wife. While waiting I went to the internet to read some reviews on Myers. While reading reviews I noticed that most of the 1 and 2 star reviews were left by AHS customers for various reasons but most of them consisted of being charged for things they were not told about. I called back AHS and asked if the compressor was covered or not. They informed me it was and that it was other "items" that were not covered. Oddly enough my unit needed Freon and it needed all new electrical equipment. Funny that this was not explained to me. I will say I don't think Cliff was in the wrong. I think that this was added on the back end. I got two second opinions. Both of the second opinions informed me that I was in fact being lied to and that my compressor was all that needed to be fixed. I have a friend who works in the HVAC industry and he informed that Myers is notorious for this and that is why his company does not do business with them. I decided to go with another company who I felt like would take better care of me.

We have an American Home Shield policy for our house. Our AC went out and AHS assigned Myers the service contract to repair our system. Myers checked out our system and found (allegedly) five things they said needed repair beyond just replacing the blower motor, which was the main issue. Those five things were "fixing" the vent pipe to bring it up to code, "fixing" the mastic seal to bring it up to code, "repairing" the gas line, "fixing" the filter base, and duct modifications....another "code" issue. This was all quoted to my wife, who was handling this as I was at work. Amazingly (sic) all of those five items were not covered by AHS and totaled up to $1,330. Needless to say I called another AC repair company for a second opinion. None of those five items needed work, their repairman showed me each instance Myers quoted and logically told me why I didn't need to pay to have that work done. For instance, when our house was built (8 yrs ago) all of those "code" issues that Myers wanted me to pay out-of-pocket for were built to code. The law doesn't require that when a repair is made we have to repair to code but Myers was trying to get my wife to agree to that. Bottom-line: Myers is the "poster-boy" for being a sleazy repair company trying to take advantage of a repair situation.

We used them through our home warranty and had a great experience! They had the technician, Jesse, out to our house within 1 hour of submitting a request and he fixed our unit on the spot. He was fast, friendly, and got our AC working even better than before.
