Myers Comfort Specialists of Birmingham

My mom and I have been trying to contact myer’s “comfort specialist” trying to repair the unit they installed at our home. Firstly, they failed to register our unit with extended warranty that we paid additional for. Leaving my air conditioning unit voided of the warranty. After trying countless times to contact the “comfort specialist” about our home being +80 degrees we have been constantly laughed and hung up on the phone. I would like to make everyone aware of their awful customer service that is blatantly disrespectful so nobody else in this great community has to be put in my family’s situation.

So let me start off by saying I didn’t choose to do business with this company. They were sent to me by my home warranty company.
They show up to my home after the third cancellation due to “employees calling in”
When they do show up the tell me that the problem is due to “tampering” and the unit will have to be replaced. Warranty company denied the claim and said that it was a pre-existing condition and they wouldn’t cover it.
So I paid another company to come out and literally all that was wrong with the unit was the drain line was clogged up. I’ve been running for a week now with no issues.

Their scheduling staff are always very polite and extremely prompt, and their technicians have always been one-time and prepared for the job.

Hires employees for positions they didn't apply for and informs them after they have moved on the position they were hired in for. Also seem to run a rat race show when trying to claim your last check. They process it up to 2 extra weeks after you are supposed to be paid. Shadey company to work for would highly recommend another company.

Myers Comfort was very helpful and professional. Their techs are very knowledgeable, skilled and informative. Myers also gave a me follow-up call to ensure my system was still operating correctly. Highly recommended.

My AC died and I filed a claim with my home warranty service. Alesha called me and set up an appointment THAT day. I told her that I had in-laws coming over the weekend and she took personal interest in my account. She was constantly checking the status of my claim, called to update me on progress made, and made sure I understood everything that was happening along the way. Then, when the scheduled service happened, Brad and John came out. My wife was home and had the pleasant experience of working with the two men. She said they were BOTH incredibly nice and helpful. They even borrowed a vacuum cleaner to clean the small mess the insulation made from where they walked into our attic. I can't express how happy we have been with our experience with Myers Comfort Specialists of Birmingham. Will happily call on them again if we ever need it!

I will preface this by saying I have AHS home warranty and this is the HVAC contractor that they always use.

I was terrified of my lack of choice in providers because the Google reviews for this provider are HORRENDOUS. But… HVAC repairs are generally expensive and I’m already entrenched with the e home warranty, so it made sense to use it.

That said, I was thoroughly impressed with my technician. Jamie, He was prompt, courteous and incredibly knowledgeable. He was patient in explaining the problem and the necessary repair (bonus points for him having the part I needed on the truck— that’s not usually the case). Most of all, he is as very honest. He told me the estimated lifetime of each piece of my HVAC system and the educated me about the the most common types of Repairs I can expect within 3 years. He was transparent and didn’t attempt to mansplain or bamboozle me. I wouldn’t have any hesitation using them again.

Guys did a fantastic job and were very helpful and friendly. Would recommend them to anyone!
